India - United States Relations

The Americans would never give us anything that could even remotely upset the regional balance in terms of mil capabilities vs Pak. Look up almost any the DSCA notificaton for arms sales to India, including the latest MQ-9B deal released by US DoD.

We don't even know if our P-8Is have finally got the full-spec secure comms, ESM and radar modes since we signed for Comcasa/Cismoa. Highly doubt it.

The Americans are now saying they all wish to become Brahmins (especially the red hats). Peter is getting lynched for being 'uneducated' and 'racist' from the U.S left and of course the Indian RW is always there. It is a clown show as was expected. Whichever brown ally provided him with half-hearted advice will probably end up getting kicked to the curb.

I have received information from Hydra that states otherwise. He said they would have given us their latest cutting edge stuff and we reneged on our promises so it is all our fault.

The Stryker is still on offer in case anyone is interested. It is the 'best' AFV out there and can perform 'very strongly' against Chyyyna. This is a one time offer to sweeten the deal.

Lets also buy f35, Chinook, p18.
A ford class carrier.
To further sweeten the deal.
We can also look for Virginia class for an ssn role.
Heck, we should even look at columbia class ssbn and trident 2 slbm.

Some folks will say that it was on offer but India walked away. You know we are not Suppapowa like Pakistan. We really needed those as we barely can make anything w/o aid.

F35 is cutting edge compares to what Russia is having.

I mean we just need to give control of those subs to american officers, and boom we have the most advanced ssn and ssbn in our fleet.
If US is still not willing, we can give them oversight over our nukes, heck they may even completely cut of relationship with pakistan and we will have a strong ally over china.
Equal mutually beneficial partnership, with a trusted ally who will never armtwist us, just look at Japan and UK.

Your pearls of wisdom amaze me, sir. Some people are saying - Autonomy and R&D. These are fancy words that hold no water. Energy pricing and other things....what's all this hoopla? I just want to ask all these people - What's the point? You're getting the F-35 and F-16...what more do you want!!? Navarro and Bessent are good folks. You don't want to trust such honest people? Indians are awful. It is making me sad.

This is tangentially related to the topic, so I'll post here:

American found dead in Dhaka’s Westin Hotel was a US Special Forces Command (Airborne) officer

The US Army officer whose body was found in a room in Dhaka’s Westin Hotel on August 31 was a Command Inspector General for 1 Special Forces Command (Airborne) and had plans to retire in the next two years, Northeast News has found.

Terrence Arvelle Jackson was found dead in his Westin Hotel room on August 31 but the US embassy in Dhaka was reluctant to disclose much about his army background.

But his LinkedIn page says that he served in the United States Army for over 20 years and participated in multiple combat deployments, and temporary duty assignments across the Asia Theater”.

Hailing from Raeford in North Carolina, Jackson was a “full time military officer”.

He joined the US Army in June 2006. However, previously he worked “part-time” in the Army National Guard from June 2003 to June 2006 and was then posted in South Carolina.

Jackson’s LinkedIn page says, “My pervious Military Occupation Specialty (MOS) was Infantry Officer 11A, and my current MOS is Special Forces Officer or 18A. I currently wok as a Command Inspector General for 1 Special Forces Command (Airborne), and I plan to retire in the next 2 years”.

The 1st Special Forces Command (Airborne) is a division-level operations forces command within the United States Army Special Operations Command (USSOCOM). The mission of 1SFC (A) is to organise, equip, train and validate forces to conduct full-spectrum special operations in support USSOCOM, Geographic Combatant Commanders, American ambassadors and other governmental agencies.

USSOCOM has the ability to rapidly deploy a high-level headquarters to run sustained, unconventional campaigns in foreign theatres.

Bangladesh Police officials said that Jackson was aged about 50 and his body was recovered from Room 808 of Westin Hotel. Jackson was reportedly on a business trip for the last few months and had checked into the hotel on August 29, Dhaka media reports said.

While Bangladesh police authorities do not suspect foul play – at least not yet – preliminary investigations were conducted before Jackson’s body was handed over to the US embassy without an autopsy.

When hotel staff did not get any response from Room 808 on August 31, a duplicate key was used to open the lock.

Police officials said they had reviewed the CCTV footage of the hotel’s lobby and the passage leading to Room 808 but found nothing suspicious. The police suspect that Jackson died of natural causes.

The headquarters of the 1st Special Forces Command (Airborne) is located at Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

While Dhaka Metropolitan Police authorities were reluctant to disclose much about Jackson, questions swirl over the presence of a Special Forces officer in the Bangladeshi capital.

What was the precise reason for his arrival in Bangladesh? If he was in Bangladesh for the last few months, what did he do during this time? Who all did he meet and which places in Bangladesh did he travel to? More importantly, are there other US Special Forces (Airborne) officers and soldiers in Bangladesh?

With the Indo-US relation going south it's not unexpected that the US will try to pressure us by fomenting trouble the neighborhood. It is also a given that R&AW has reach throughout Bangladesh. They have capabilities in the entire neighborhood. So, could this be a hit?

Peter's past tweets have started to surface. This is again causing people to squirm as it means coming to his defence will be challenging. Indians, I tell you...these folks are just too much. However, it makes you wonder what qualities Peter has that enables him to partake in trade discussions (apart from being a meh economist - "In several of his books, Navarro quoted a fictional economist named "Ron Vara", an anagram of his surname, as a source of information").

A realistic view of the issue. Talks are happening and will continue to take place. However, people like Bessent and Navarro have stirred the pot too much w/o regards for consequences.

US expert warns tariffs under Donald Trump are pushing India toward a closer alliance with China and Russia, as seen at the SCO summit.

Ed Price argued that Washington’s punitive approach has left India little choice but to look eastward as he said, “If you slap a 50 per cent tariff on India, India is going to look elsewhere for trade partners. So this pretence of understanding why India would be at the SCO meeting or why PM Modi would be there, that’s what does not make sense. We know why. We know US is unilaterally shaping what was a multilateral trade organisation. The only country that can benefit from that is China ultimately."
