Has India apologised to the Sikhs for 1984 yet? Rather more than 370 killed.
Nope, we haven't and if I know anything we won't be doing that anytime soon. Rather we will be playing politics on it, until everyone in the audience gets disgusted by it. Then eventually we will get to the stage where we will genuinely repent and apologise for it. But getting to the apology stage won't come easy or fast. A lot of the culprits are still sitting in positions of power and getting them to face justice won't be easy, especially given the fact that our courts are lethargic as f*ck. But, there has been some positive movements happening every now and then. One recent case was this :
Congress leader Sajjan Kumar convicted in 1984 anti-Sikh riots, gets life in prison

Jallianwalah Bagh massacre happened in 13 April 1919, exactly 100 years and 5 days ago. Only now the UK govt. is planning to do an official apology. Not exactly a stellar record to speak of.
1984 riots happened 35 years ago. Appalling as it maybe expecting the GoI to do an apology just yet is unrealistic. After all we know what degree of insensitive, lazy bums they are.

But I will keep my hopes alive of an official un-conditional apology and some semblance of justice for the victims of the riots much much sooner than the 100 years the UK official apology took to come around. Hopefully we have a closure of this wound with in the next decade.

It's pretty much common practice to wait until all the guilty and victims are dead and then apologise for it.

Lol. 1919 vs 1985. The snakes called britshits.
Well the latter is far more recent during a period when most of civilisation had moved on from such things, and it involved far more people.

Sounds like you shot yourselves anyway.

We’re following in the footsteps of a squad of British Indian troops, 50 Gurkhas, Baluchi and Pathan Muslims and a few Sikhs armed with Enfield rifles and another 50 Gurkhas armed only with kukri knives, commanded by a couple of British officers. They took up position, facing a huge crowd estimated at between 5,000 and 30,000. Only 30 seconds later, their commanding officer, Brigadier-General Reginald (‘Rex’) Dyer ordered his men to open fire.

You seemed to enjoy killing yourselves too.

Two Gurkhas later remarked with evident relish: “While it lasted it was splendid. We fired every round we had.”

Quite worrying really.

You've got to hand it to the Brits. They made is right each other successfuly for nearly 2 centuries and scrammed out in 1947 but they did to the Irish the same for more than 7 centuries culminating in The Good Friday Agreement in 1998. Says a lot about the Irish.
