Canada should approach international relationships “with eyes wide open,” using pragmatic, realistic, and sometimes uncomfortable diplomacy, rather than expecting clear black-and-white outcomes. Many of the aspects remain the same. India refuses that it meddles in the affairs of its diaspora and they do not take us as seriously as their other relationships. Disinformation exists that makes things difficult for Canadian govt. and organisations to act on Indian information.
The attitude with which these guys are talking is pretty much a toned down version of what used to be said earlier. Fair amount of work still needs to be done here.
This presents some good points with respect to Canada-India relationships. Both need to work towards ensuring a better working relationship.
