I heard a tender by GOI to establish a testing facility upto 130 kn turbofan engine.Kaveri engine To Udne Se Raha. To HAL ne socha uska starter hi GE404/414 main Fit Kar diya Jaaye.....
By the way it's just a starter to start the turbofan engines....
DRDO ready to work on the successor to Kaveri engine, Govt wants basic tech-ready – Indian Defence Research Wing
That's good news if true, ie the MKI will become a test bed.
Possible. But a fighter needs sustained afterburner capability.Have a question. Rafale M used M88 with a max of 75Kn engine on them. IN wants to have a twin engine fighter. Is it possible to use Kaveri engine on our naval fighter seeing it's capable of 81KN though there are issues of sustaining at long.
Kaveri has FADEC system. It is possible to do that.We can software tune it to max of 75KN then we can have an Rafale M equivalent for IN. Is it possible?
TWR matters more than raw power at times.Or K9 isn't enough to power our next Naval twin engine fighter?
