Chinese Wuhan Virus Thread

Most chutiya chief minister is Uddhav Thakre. Now Bandra station is full of migrants labourers. They have failed to communicate about extension of lockdown.
Communication was conveyed very clearly, question should have been, what was the content of communication, door to door, isn't?

Recovered people in India crossed 1000.
If they can donate blood, their Plasma can be transfused to critical patients.

This can reduce deaths.

Hope this message is conveyed in apt manner.

My friend in transfusion medicine, feels it ll be difficult to get donors.

Mostly locals(almost all people here are native of other states) from nearby slums located on eastern part of Bandra local station, around east south general direction from Bandra Terminus. Important to note, people located near Bandra Terminus crossed Bandra local station and converged in front of Mosque, adjacant to Bandra Local station western side. Outstation trains run from eastern side Bandra Terminus, not western side Bandra Local Station.

It's not one person's doing, rather we believe it spread in specific homes and that can be only done by collective efforts. Political chess is already in motion.
There are a lot of small scale zari & other textile units in the slums there. Most if not all the workers are single source . Essentially from WB, Bihar & UP in that order. I don't think this is essentially a political move. Look at the demographics there. The BJP doesn't have any hold there . Why would the parties in the government do it? I believe it's a spontaneous move. Probably decided to wait till the 14th in anticipation that there'd be a relaxation of the lockdown for a few days during which they'd make their way home . Can't read much into it.

My doubt only coming from the fact that if they wanted to go to native place,

1. they would had gone to Kurla Terminus LTT or CSTM, not Bandra Terminus BDTS. There are hardly 4-5 trains which go to UP & Bihar, none to West Bengal from BDTS if I am correct.

2. even if they wanted to catch long distance trains, they would had gone to Bandra Terminus, not Bandra local station which is illogical, everybody knows that here.

That's all.

In order to go to LTT or CST , there has to be some way to get there. But I agree with you. There's no point going to Bandra (W) outside the mosque adjacent to the station unless you want to make a point.

I wonder if these migrants could be screened and sent on special trains, would it help decongest cities? Rural areas have bigger houses and social distancing would be more effective. 10 people in a 15 x 15 foot hut is just a ticking time bomb, In their position, I too would have taken to the streets. The middle class can afford to stay at home with easy access to both essential services and entertainment. Again, easier said than done.

A landlord who rented his flat to a Chinese tourist but did not inform authorities as is mandatory under the Foreigners’ Registration Act now faces possible action for failing to comply with regulations amid the coronavirus pandemic, police said.

Zhou Juhua (31), a native of Hunan in China has been living in a flat in an apartment complex in in Varanasi’s Saket Nagar Colony since March 22. Police said that Zhou arrived in Varanasi in the last week of January and stayed in a hotel in the Dashashwamedh Ghat area till March 21. Through her tourist guide, the woman contacted Sambhav Chaturvedi, a flat owner for taking an apartment on rent. Chaturvedi did not submit the details of the foreigner to the foreigners’ registration authorities within 24 hours of her arrival at his premises.

He said he gave the flat on rent to her after her guide narrated her problems. The landlord said he could not inform the police because he is stuck in Patna due to the lockdown.

Station officer Lanka, Bharat Bhushan Tiwari said the local intelligence unit (LIU) informed them about the Chinese woman on Monday following which the police went for an inspection.

“The Chinese woman has been found living in the flat. She is still there. The flat owner didn’t inform authorities that he gave his flat on rent to a Chinese woman. Action would be taken against the flat owner as per instruction by senior officers,” he said.

An intelligence officer who did not wish to be named said that a case would be registered against the flat owner.

Police said the woman’s visa is still valid.

One word answer - No. What people tend to believe is that governments have some sort of magic wand which they move and voila everything will be right. Reality is just opposite. Governments are just as much hopeless, if not more, as people are when we are facing an enemy who can't be seen, detected without harming us first etc. They just can't say on people's face, that's it. Somethings are just not meant to be told in public.

Staying at crowded places like Dharavi is not helping either. 50 people use one toilet, some have none.

I just watched the Movie CONTAGION
Several people have recommended it

It is like watching the present day Corona
Epidemic but they show millions of casualties in the movie

This movie was made in 2011

If all people stay at home here, one crore will die, if spread across country, a billion will die. Which one do you believe is more logical? Sometimes there are no good choices, only bad choices and we have to choose a lesser bad option. This is that time. Thank you.

Virus has already muted again in India, World over scientists working on this currently, and as we have seen, mortality rate goes up as and when this virus mututes.
