Armenia has all the disadvantages possible, including being surrounded by dangerous countries. Their only advantage is their alliance with Russia. The Russians have two military bases in Armenia.
Armenia is extremely critical to Russia because if Armenia joins the Western bloc, then the West will get direct access to the Caspian Sea through Azerbaijan, and in turn NATO will put ships in the Caspian. Russia controls Armenia's energy and gas supply.
Turkey finds a way to poke it's long nose into every damn thing!
Armenia will need some serious help! Lip service by countries' won't do any good to them.
Can we expect India to issue a statement supporting Armenia? Might send something else with Swathi, something long and that travels really fast!

It seems despite all the odds, Armenia is giving tough time to Azerbaijan.
We have a policy of non-interference in the Middle East.
And this is something Russian can deal with.
Let's see how things pan out. If Russia intervenes, it's game over for both Turkey and Azerbaijan.

Armenia's best bet is still Russia. Turkish-Russian rivalry is older than many peoples appreciates. Russia will not allow wannabe ottomans to convert Caucasus into another Syria.
They are not a menace if you have adequate defences. Remember I used to say warfare is for the rich, this is a prime example. You can't fight if you do not have the right kind of technology on you. The Armenians need the immediate supply of Pantsir-S2 and Tor M2.
Any military force can fight on the ground with previous generation equipment against new generation ground equipment, but when it comes to fighting air threats, your air defence and related ECCM must be absolutely top notch. Even half a generation behind and you get slaughtered. The prime threats to ground forces from the air are ATGMs and other types of PGMs. But the problem is old gen radars are unable to pick these up, hence cannot be stopped.

Azeris claiming Armenia initiated this conflict are absolute clowns. Armenia has nothing to gain from conflict, and definitely wouldn't initiate when Turkey is presently in Azerbaijan (and now assisting with the Azeri offense). Not to mention the widespread rumors of Turkish militias assisting the Azeri advance.
Armenia has already offered to cede Azeri majority regions of Artsakh as long as a corridor between Armenia and Karabakh could be maintained...which the Azeris and Turks vehemently refuse.
It honestly wouldn't be a stretch to say that the ultimate goal of the Turks is the total conquest and cleansing of Armenians in the region. Armenia is currently the physical block in-between Turkey and the greater Turkic world.

Turkish Drones are a serious threat, as proven in Syria, Libya and now in in Armenia. Peoples tend to have a habit to downplay the importance of new technologies, and drones are a serious threat to any military. Iranian drones also repeatedly penetrated American military installations during the last few years.
Drones have an ability fighters don't have, the ability to hover over battle field for a long time to search and destroy targets. In Syria, Turkish Drones forced Russians not to go to the front during the last escalation in idlib and Russian troops in front was essentially hiding.
