It's a limited air-frame with limited capabilities. They lack any credible sensor suite. They're nothing like the Triton. It's a low risk loss.

Range is 30-40km. Good for shooting down large, lumbering aircraft with no self-protection system like an RQ-4 or MH17. No kills have been confirmed against agile aircraft for Buk or its clones, so we'll see if the US and Iran enter a shooting war. Syrian Buks were smoked by the US and Israel in Syria.

Okay, that looks way closer to the coast compared to earlier.

And yeah, the Iranians need more capable SAMs. They were recently denied the S-400. But if the Americans stick it to the Russians on Turkey, they may very well change their minds.

Looks like war is inivitable. Iran has confirmed nuke activigy has reached pre 2015 level.Israel may also tempted for action.Also NY Times is said Bolton ,Pompeo all for strike on Iranian facility. FAA has ban US register commercial flight over part of middle east.That directive from FAA came today very fresh.India does not want 130 dollar brent.
