When had it ended? Pakistan is an ideology, not a country. All south asian fundamentalists are by definition, pakistanis. "Bangladesh" as a national ideology was just liberal left-leaning secular vision of Sheikh family for East Bengal after gaining freedom in 1971. There's a reason why pakistan in general remains so obsessed with islamic fundamentalism and hindu-hatred, so as to make sure partition never gets undone similar to berling wall or something (which anyway never had a chance) and make sure relations remain sour even people-to-people helping the junta rule the country militarily.
The very reason and justification of the very existence of these two nations was the do-qaumi nazariyah (momin and kuffar can't live together), which to some extent was undone in 71 but is getting resurgent in east bengal after years of radicalisation by pakistan and gulf et al.
Even today all pro-India ties bangladeshis are liberal secular ones who aren't as conservative, while no islamist there likes India and is ready to be a fodder in future for jaish and lashkar.
Only hard power can fix these potential threats.

Thats what I wanted to say, I don't care what these crapholes do in their country, but "pakistanisation" is a subcontinental term for resurgence of islamic fundamentalism. In future if the bangladeshi military gets full of such conservatives then one can expect it to behave like west pakistan.
It doesn't even matter of those two countries behave in whatever way.
The threat is internal because they get cover through laws, rights, media, rhetorics.
External threats are not a big issue if internal threat of fragmentation was not present.

The problem with Pakistanis is they tend to overestimate their worth whenever a superpower needs them for a short time like a condom and what increased their confidence more was the most corrupt and incompetent Gandhi family ruling India for 60 years.....congress blamed 26/11 to RSS for their incompetency to give a military response to Pakistan .....That's why Pakistanis had the dream of Gazwa-e-Hind and 1 pakistani=10 indian theory as they are quite confident that the incompetent Gandhi family will rule India forever ....With Modi/Doval entry all it requires was just 10 years to show these useless f@ckers their worth and give the response in the language the Pakistani terrorist army understands . Now their current behavior in Bangladesh has the full blessing of uncle sam and hence they are punching above their aukat ...there are so many ways Bangladeshis can be made to behave and it will be done when they cross a line ....Just remember how rabid anti-India was Maldives till last year and now they singing praise about India without us even firing a single bullet ..if we can do it in Maldives we can very well do it for Bangladesh too ....
Agree with the overall sentiment and essence of your point. But Maldives issue ≠ Bangladeshi issue. Maldives is more like srilankan relationship.

Documents released under America’s Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) show that India's Operation Sindoor after Pahalgam attack in April last year had shaken Pakistan.
Pakistan lobbied through its diplomats in the US to prevent war, contacting top administration officials, lawmakers, the Pentagon, and State Department officials nearly 60 times.
Documents filed with the US Justice Department under FARA showed that Pakistani diplomats continued to negotiate a ceasefire through emails, phone calls, and one-on-one meetings from late April until after the four-day Operation Sindoor.
Pakistan, seeking to pause Op-Sindoor, spent approximately ₹45 crore on hiring 6 lobbying firms to gain rapid access to the Trump administration.
In a separate disclosure, another US-based lobbying firm, Sidley Law LLP, said it assisted Pakistan in strengthening its economic engagement with the United States and provided support during the period of India-Pakistan tensions.
