India-Russia Relations

The main issue is that Russia didn't have anything to use ruppe on. There was little india could export to Russia before, leading to slowing of movement.
But now, if they are sincere about investing in co-production and investment in India, they have a use for all the rupees they will amass.
We produce automobiles, tractors, trucks.
With our new offering being more than good enough for export.
We produce lots of steel too.
Etc.

There is lot we can offer and produce.
Its up to russia on whether they accept it or not.

Lots of "manufactured" goods can be exported here.
From tractors to cars to trucks, to machinery in various fields, to cheap home appliances, to medicines.
Along with lots of acquisition and investments by our companies for those tasty natural resources.
We can also export finished raw material products.
Then there are "people" export and service export.

And some defense products.

And they also need labor and goods that India can provide now with better manufacturing capacity relative to past.
India is the generic drug pharmacy of the world, we make the best quality generic drugs. The USA also approves these products because of the quality of our product. IMO We can help them in healthcare and automobile and electrical products. also cheaper electronic products, which we are in the process of setting up.

Russian Oil Gets Cheaper for India as US Amps Up Criticism

Russian crude is getting even cheaper for India buyers as New Delhi faces sustained US pressure to cut its oil trade with Moscow, which the Trump administration says is helping fund the war in Ukraine. The price of Urals crude has dipped to a discount of $3 to $4 a barrel to Brent on a delivered basis, according to people who received offers for the Russian grade, asking not to be identified discussing sensitive information. The price is for cargoes that will load in late September and October, they added.

Indian refiners have continued to buy Russian oil despite US President Donald Trump slapping New Delhi with crushing tariffs for the trade. Repeated criticism from administration officials along with economic penalties have also prompted Prime Minister Narendra Modi to hail the
relationship with Moscow.

Last week, Urals was being offered at a discount of around $2.50 a barrel, wider than $1 in July, the people said. That compares with more expensive US crude recently bought by some Indian refiners, which was priced at around a $3 premium to Dated Brent, they added.

Urals is Russia’s flagship oil and ships from the nation’s western ports. India became the largest importer of seaborne supplies from the OPEC+ producer after the start of the war in Ukraine in 2022.

I diasgree with him, so does IAF & GOI. Su-57s are going to come in huge numbers(read around 200) along with more S-400s and S-500s like I said last year. Maybe, by now you should have known that I'm The Oracle and what I say happens;)

( LCA 1A&2 + AMCA + Ghatak + CATS Hunter + SU-30MkI + 36 rafale )

: 3-5 years gap ( the risk)

: A risk induces urgency for reforms and acceptance by public, pressuring vested interest who see risk to their backbone.

: Puts onus on DRDO and pvt players to fast track development and takes away comfortable shield of imported weapons.

: Less fiscal burden and more value addition to military industrial complex.

: Greater potential of Spin-offs and continued improvement and leading next-gen systems.

Vs

( LCA Mk1A + AMCA limited + Su-57E + Rafale+ Su-30MkI + Russian wingman)

Note:
: Imports of 57E & Rafale means reduced funding and focus on indigenous R&D.

: License production lilley kills HALs capability to take on Mk2 and future LCA concept.

: Investor momentum and confidence of local pvt players crashes down as it sends strong signal of future priority and uncertainties. Govts are likely to strong arm pvt players than foreign OEMs when it comes to funds and orders or lack thereof. Investors consider all of that before heavy investment. Same since decades

: Su-57E comes with its own loyal wingman, effectively putting Ghatak and Cats Warrior in backburner. Later you will see "indiginesation" of that wingman and some Cats Warrior as being done now because of 70 years of past import policies.

: Might see a mix of UCAV and AMCA concept, to push frugalness jugaad arising from fund crunch.

: Does IAF have the infrastructure and ecosystem in place?

I googled a bit more. R.Venkataraman was defense minister during 1982-1984. Under IG.
Very different times and USSR, not Russia.

And kind of an open secret, how USSR(Russia) & west have tried to derail any kind of self reliance for many nations.

Hopefully, Make in India, made in india, atmanirbhar bharat, and PMs focus continues to make progress with greater and exponential progress.

Note: added PMs part specially for you 🤣

That's why I call you a toolkit peddler now. When you don't do even simple research when it comes to anything that can be critical of india, and just jump the gun.

The Collab has been going on since 2007. Involved chinese too. And since 2014, directly with russia too.

Have some ethics. It's like RG saying, he was threatened by arun jaitley after he passed away. Or putting blame on current ECC for his toolkit allegations of past.
