India - United States Relations

I think that Trump is totally fixated on getting the Nobel Peace Prize. The sycophants he has surrounded himself with are constantly boosting him up. He wants to end the Russia-Ukraine war even if it disrupts geopolitical relations, and get the Nobel. He's betting that history will judge him as an astute and forceful leader of the great country USA and someone who was not afraid to hammer friends and allies for the sake of peace. He perceives his self-assumed future personal victory as synonymous with MAGA.

“Kuch log hain, jo Bharat ka vikas jitni teji ke saath ho raha hai, unhe raas nahin aa raha hai. Unhe achcha nahin lag raha hai: Sabke Boss toh hum hain, Bharat kaise itni teji ke saath badh raha hai? (There are some people who do not like the rapid development of India. They don’t like it: We are the boss of everyone, how is India growing so rapidly?),” he said.

Nope, its just a convenient excuse. They are other things happening.

Its a diplomatic victory for Pak,definitely.
The last 20 years of edge we enjoyed over pak with US is gone with in few weeks.

I beleive who all are supported Trump from here in 🇮🇳 and the Indian communities in US voted for Trump is in deep pain & agony.

Its more than that, bangladesh coup itself should have woken India up. There is definite change of course, if you look at trumps advisors & cabinet there is much more to come. Its just not manufacturing, Indian immigration, IT service jobs moving to India, defence acquisitions..etc Every thing is being targeted. Very fact that US has not nominated a ambassador to India should give indication of what priority India has in US.

Well, yeah, US will not want to slip-up with India like they did with China. With China, US woke up after after the Chinese became just too strong. So with India, there will be knocks every now and then - so that we accept a bit of humiliation and intimidation. This behaviour is highly exaggerated because Trump is in power - he's very overbearing and his top officials echo what he says. Had it been a softer Indian leader then we would have definitely hunkered down, but Modi is also a strong personality - he will make counter noises and, hopefully, some significant moves even if we finally are forced to accept the US line.

Trump would also have been pissed with India unwilling to endorse his views on the Indo-Pak ceasefire - again personality driven politics. A big democracy like India endorsing Trump for the Nobel Prize has its own weight - the whole world knows that the India-Pakistan theatre is one of the biggest flash-points - so if he resolves it then the Nobel Prize is well within grasp.

US has probably understood there is no containing China and that China is already a superpower with great leverage, hence it's need for India as a counter is gone. And India will never be its lackey, a fact which it has also understood. This may potentially be the final and last divorce of India US relations forever.

The amount of grovelling by certain Indian-American accounts even now is hilarious.
If Trump and the Americans really expect $100 billion worth of investments from a poor third world country like India which can't even fund its military industrial complex yet, then they are even bigger bufoons than I thought. Essentially America is a big and filthy rich bully that wants a poor scrawny skinny kid to pay entirely for the meal!!!! Wtf?!!!? NEVER happening.

Wrong. It was never about making india stronger than China. It was about boxing China in to spread its forces thin.
But they thought India is just like Pakistani establishment that will have a dependent foreign policy. But India didn't play that way. Their main irritation is their lack of control the way they had over Pakistanis.

And Modi govts insistence on local production instead of off the shelf imports also put a dent to their greed which arose from our import spree of big ticket items during 2000-2013.

Now, it's upto them if they have what it takes to be a partner instead of the boss. China is no USSR and India is no Pakistan.

This guy can't bully Russia or China so he takes his anger out on us. If even more tariffs are added then India must also put punishing tariffs on US products.
BRICS should gang up and increase the cost of goods exported to US and countries which dont play along should be prevented from accessing raw materials. Only few countries like china have the capability to sustain complete supply chain.
