US - Israel - Iran War

the issue is reliable delivery.
They dont need one , you are thinking is based on deterrence between nations like US-Soviet détente who will rationally evaluate each others capability to cause damage before going to war.
Nothing prevents them from smuggling radioactive substance through civilian means and blowing it up , all they want is to show to their prospective followers that they can cause damage not win or lose.
I wouldn't be surprised if the Iranians choose a light retaliation. They are at a critical moment. The ayatollah/irgc could face serious instability and collapse if oil and other critical infrastructure is targeted.
Even if the current regime collapses, some other monkey will take over the power. we will have more terror groups proliferating in the region having access to nuclear material.

oil prices going up will make russia more happy. Irony is that , the way things are interconnected that a +ve in one region ends up creating a -ve in another region.

I don't see Iran backing down. As long as there isn't regime change, they'll continue to keep fighting on with whatever means they have available. Drones/FPVs, missiles, suicide boats etc.

Strait of Hormuz can be made a mess. That will invite further attacks as a response from not only US but also perhaps KSA & Israel.

I wonder if we just moved into Gulf War 3.

If what you stated comes to pass, it will definitely be a full scale Gulf War. Any attacks on ships and blocking of shipping lanes is a strict no-no for NATO. The EU has already stated earlier that international shipping lanes should not be targeted.

doubt they will do that , they will end up making their own ships easy target. probably houthis will increase the intensity of attacks.

Is that confirmed, reports are only talking about tomahawk cruise missiles fired from sub .
Confirmed. Six B2's for Fordow used 12 GBU-57's and 30 Tomahawk cruise missiles fired from US subs hitting the other two sites to finish off what IDF couldn't finish. All this is meh to me I'm more interested in the EW that swallowed Iran since there were no EW aircraft anywhere near Iran. No USN ships in Gulf either. Space base?

You're acting as if the US released it's entire ORBAT to the press . Are you actually so naive sweetie ?

Meanwhile here's something to ponder . 👇

Doubt 12 GBU-57s would do much damage to deeply hidden Fordow nuclear site🤷

Six US B-2A Spirit strategic bombers struck Iranian nuclear facilities in Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan. The strike used 12 GBU-57A/B bunker buster bombs. Thirty BGM-109 Tomahawk cruise missiles launched from submarines at a range of 600 km were also used. It is worth noting that Iran's nuclear facilities are located underground, at a depth of up to 90 meters, and it is quite difficult to destroy them. According to Iranian media, the facilities were not damaged. The GBU-57A/B bunker buster bomb was developed in the United States and weighs over 13.5 tons, is 6 meters long, and has a diameter of about 80 centimeters. The bomb contains almost 2.5 tons of explosives and is designed to destroy underground targets at a depth of up to 60 meters.

Twelve GBU-57s hitting the same spot in seconds from first to last was enough.

The Israelis would not be happy if Fordow wasn't destroyed. Iran is crawling with Mossad agents likely found out first before US stealth recon aircraft and space base SATs confirmed.

Looks like things are already kicking off toward that end:
