In between all this mfg jobs were shipped off to China , Mehico etc & white collar jobs to India with lower end ones to Filipinos .

So no income for the working class Americans & no benefits either like free or subsidised health care etc .

Designing and building nuclear reactors independently is complex only a few countries in the world can do it, North Korea and Pakistan who have much more advanced nuclear program than Iran can't do it so I am quite sure Iran cannot build its own nuclear reactor.

You know when Soviet Union collapsed, my father said my grandfather thought something like this will happen to India, as we were not left with any strong allies in the world. He thought the US would do devastating air strikes against us in the case of confrontation with Pakistan. Thankfully such a thing has never happened and such a thing will never happen, and for that we can thank our scientists behind our nuclear weapons program and our ballistic missile program, a the political leaders from Indhira Gandhi to Narendra Modi (minus that piss drinker Morarji) for their continued support of our nuclear weapons and ballistic missile programme.

I suppose they will at the least will build a dirty bomb now. This attack will only reinforce the thinking , that if you have nukes no caountry will attack you. pakistan will now simply double up on their nukes and their crazy tactical nuclear attack theory will become even more weirder.

To think what would have happened to India if we didn’t have nukes! But the main problem now is US-Pak nexus thanks to US’s military campaign against Iran. Tough days ahead ..

Unlikely that US will go completely hostile towards us like 1971 since they also need us as their counter against China. Geo-politics 101 for ya;)

the issue is reliable delivery.

Homestly, I wouldn't be surprised if the Iranians choose a light retaliation. They are at a critical moment. The ayatollah/irgc could face serious instability and collapse if oil and other critical infrastructure is targeted.

Blocking the strait of hormuz might incur huge retaliation.
