J-20 is an ASF designed to supercruise(with WS-15s) at 50k+ altitude(Mach 1.5+) with very big(2000 TRM+) GaN AESA radar and its own EOTS. An F-35 that is cruising at Mach 0.9 at 35k feet has literally no chance to intercept or defend against J-20. F-35 is JSF, so a Joint Strike Fighter. That's its primary role to hunt for mobile SAMs using EOTS, AN/APG-81, AN/ASQ-239 Barracuda, EODAS etc. Air-to-air is its secondary role.
We need our own 5th gen ASF to take on J-20. It's going to be AMCA MK2. Since it won't get FOC before 2040, Su-57 or its derivatives are the only option for us to take on J-20/J-36/J-50 head on.

If you are talking about those black marks then they aren't any damages, when a missile damages the soil then there is soil spillage which is not visible at all. There is maybe something placed on the ground or DGISPR just photoshopped some SAT imagery.
