An ejection from launch pad is successful in DRDO's utopian world.
Could be for this
Just hoping that today's test was fully successful as this missile is needed in 1000s to saturate enemy air defence and critical military/infra sectors.
At best it would be short duration test, to validate the same parameter set in the last failed attempt. The notam area was quite small. Imo Nirbhay was tech demo with Rus engine, based on it ITCM being developed as sort of tech demo with indigenous engine (ie a middle ground). Based on ITCM success possibly mission mode project LRLACM will proceed, which is the final version to be delivered to the military.Just hoping that today's test was fully successful as this missile is needed in 1000s to saturate enemy air defence and critical military/infra sectors.
Brahmos is our silver bullet. Very effective but very costly as well.
Nirbhay never meant to be a tech demo, it was envisioned to be a desi tomahawk with 1500 km range. The only successful test till date with full range was its second. Rest all are failed one( obviously partial succes in DRDO language ) or tested for 700-750 km range only.At best it would be short duration test, to validate the same parameter set in the last failed attempt. The ADE guys are either trying to make a Cruise missile which can do alien stuff, or they are more useless than Hamas R&D guys.At best it would be short duration test, to validate the same parameter set in the last failed attempt. Do you have any official documents to prove that? Total budget of the Nirbhay program was Rs 97 cr then. None of the techs was ready then.Nirbhay never meant to be a tech demo, it was envisioned to be a desi tomahawk with 1500 km range.
This is the mistake of reading fanboy fiction. Missiles should be able to use in every range. It can even be 100 km. That's also a success.Like Trishul missile program, Nirbhay too an utter failure program. You can easily call a program failure which achieved only 3 successful test out of 7 development trials conducted in past, barring today's test. Out of the three, two test were just above 650 km instead of 1500 km. Thank god, we accepted Trishul program was a failure and didn't achieve its development goals. With passing of time We indians become d!ck head that we are not dared to call a failures a failure & hence started mentioning Nirbhay as technical demonstrator.
Pakistanis define nationalism by delivering usable products to the military. The ADE guys are either trying to make a Cruise missile which can do alien stuff, or they are more useless than Hamas R&D guys.
Heck the Pakistanis are offering Air Launched Cruise Missiles for export now.
The only issue is that our teams are risk averse and do not want to change.Pakistanis define nationalism by delivering usable products to the military.
Here, our scientists define nationalism by calling it a product fully indigenous. Doesn't matter how long the military is suffering without the capability.
Do u have any documents to prove otherwise? I mean a document dated prior to 2014?Do you have any official documents to prove that?
By this logic, Kaveri engine too should be a tech demonstrator.Do you have any official documents to prove that? Total budget of the Nirbhay program was Rs 97 cr then. None of the techs was ready then.
Yeas, but not Nirbhay like missile. Its not meant to target 100 km sure. This is the mistake of reading fanboy fiction. Missiles should be able to use in every range. It can even be 100 km. That's also a success.
Its good for defending DRDO.Nirbhay is a failure in many aspects. If they have gone with imported navigation and engine that may have not been the case. But with the increase in their technical maturity in subsystems they choose to go for 100% Indian. For that, the sub-sonic cruise missile program paid the price.
So Brhamos, we have no contributions to it?When a mission mode project fails then complain and cry because that was a project on the basis of matured technology. This project was definitely not.
You made the claim, its easy to prove if you are correct.Do u have any documents to prove otherwise? I mean a document dated prior to 2014?
Do you understand how logic works?By this logic, Kaveri engine too should be a tech demonstrator.
Oh it is if they want to.Yeas, but not Nirbhay like missile. Its not meant to target 100 km sure.
They did already successfully with russian engine.I wanna ask one more thing, did Nirbhay need only for 1500 & 650 km? Not meant for 1000 km? Why drdo didn't try for 1000 km?
Boast over things you have, not over things you could have.
8 years to indigenize Zircon lol.
