Ukraine - Russia Conflict

@randomradio

There are huge consequences to Russia's failure to make this a walk-in invasion like Crimea. This is just one of them. Putin has fckked his only remaining ally to his West in Europe, alienated Kazakstan, and caused Finland and Sweden to apply for NATO membership. Not to mention being globally condemned and kicked off the UN human rights panel, and getting road and rail routes to Kaliningrad cut-off. In an attempt to gain, he has only lost.

Russia is yet to show its hands. Right now they are on the backfoot.

If things were this easy, the US would have made moves back in the 90s itself.

Russia has shown its hand, that's the other effect of this war. And it wasn't as great as many predicted.

Or maybe Russia has just done all this to itself, or rather Putin has.

Rumors are constantly being spread on the Internet about Russia's alleged huge losses of tanks in Ukraine, some individuals even claim that Russia's losses in Ukraine amount to thousands, so Russia removes old T-62 tanks from storage. Indeed, Russia removed the old tanks from storage and sent them to Ukraine, but not because of fictional huge losses, but because tanks are transferred to the militia, one example of this you will see later in the video, in addition, these tanks are convenient to use as long-term firing points or as mobile artillery, using them from a distance of 3-4 kilometers. Next, the video shows a detachment of Ossetian militia on Russian T-62 tanks.

Russian artillerymen destroyed American 155-mm M-777 howitzers in Ukraine during a counter-battery fight. It is reported that in general, 15 M777 howitzers were destroyed per day, most of which were in the area of the Druzhkovka railway station, the howitzers did not have time to fire a single shot.

You've practically declared an economic war on Russia. You are trying to make them a full pariah. What makes you think they are not gonna react? They are gonna use everything that's possible short of a nuclear war to make it happen.

Problems in Lithuania will shut off NATO's land access to the Baltics.

The problem migrants will stay back. They will even be allowed to find safe haven in Russia/Belarus etc during crackdowns. China does the same to separatists in India.

Shrapnel is dangerous to IFVs even 10-20m away, forget soldiers in the open. Each STANAG protection level against 155mm artillery is 100m, 80m, 60m, 30m, 25m and 10m. Western howitzers need to be delivered in the hundreds every few days to match Russia's 2400 guns.

You are getting literally zero real, authentic news about Russia. The Russians are providing video evidence of their offensive. Recall the pics of the bridges I posted? They are showing off areas captured with Russian flags on occupied govt buildings.

The Russians are not expected to cross Severo directly, they are encircling the region elsewhere. One is Slovyansk, then there's Popasna and the last is Bakhmut. If Slovyansk and Bakhmut come under attack, Lysychansk-Severodonetsk area is done. They will have to retreat, surrender or fight to the death. Plus the UAF is abandoning troops, so those troops are holding on for some time before surrendering, like they did at Azovstal. Just 2 days ago the Aidar battalion surrendered in Metalokine.

The Russians are adapting faster than the Ukrainians. Plus this war has a long term positive impact too, where the only country in the world with experience in modern warfare will be Russia. They are rapidly plugging weaknesses in their BTG concept. So, 10 years down the line, the military they will raise using this experience gained will be very frightening. This is something the West wanted to avoid, which is one of the main reasons why Ukraine wasn't armed with heavy weapons and jets. To make matters worse, Russian doctrine is becoming very attractive in many parts of the world. Particularly in the Middle East, where they are failing against the Yemenis using the more expensive Western doctrine.

Putin has overwhelming domestic support. He's convinced the Russians that the Western sanctions are aimed at Russians and not himself, and the problems they are facing right now has been enough as proof. The West shot themselves in the foot here by making the average Russian suffer. The average Russian civilian now basically believes the West is now the enemy. And Putin has also successfully sold the concept of USSR to the Russians. He's basically calling himself the next Peter the Great and people are believing in that ideal.
They started an actual war, what did you expect? Flowers and a get well soon card?

It will lead to NATO resolving those issues.

Let them find shelter there, they won't get back across the borders that easy, and in Belarus, if a known terrorists stop there, they will just get hit with missiles. Belarus isn't Russia, nobody worries a shit about firing missiles into to kill terrorists.

There are smaller fragments and larger fragments, and ricochets and bits that skim ankles or arms. Sure, a lot of it kills, but you also get wounded. Ask D-Day veterans.

No mate, you are getting zero real news. State-controlled media is not even news. Sure nobody disputes they hold the land identified on battle maps, but that's it, and that's all. They are getting murdered at least as fast as Ukrainians.

And yet they already have until they were pushed back. You know this, which means you are even lying to yourself now. I've been watching the live map for the last week around Severodonetsk and Slovyansk and nothing has moved.

Yeah, the Russians are adapting faster to being dead. This is due to having previous experience of living in the USSR, which was like being dead. Literally nothing you post makes sense, at all.

Who knows. I doubt that anyone with a brain could fail to make the link between Russia invading Ukraine and the sanctions, many of which have been directed at Putin's inner circle specifically. No way to avoid ordinary Russians suffering, but at least you've now admitted that sanctions are having an effect. Most Russians are Christians, under the USSR 12-20m Christians were either executed or died in gulags. Not particularly attractive, hence why all the fires I imagine.

A very good analysis, I myself did not support Putin, because of corruption in the country, you are right, Putin's support has grown in the country, the West has only made itself worse with sanctions and strengthened Putin's power

Russia is all about returning lands, well Kaliningrad isn't Russian.

That makes literally zero sense. Someone you didn't support anyway does something seriously stupid with consequences that affect the whole of Russia negatively, so now you do support them. I'm beginning to wonder whether Russia being economically sabotaged by its own leaders for a century is the fault of leaders or the followers.

The Bureviy 220mm MLRS is equipped with a digital fire control system, including an information exchange system on the battlefield. This allows the Storm to be included in a single reconnaissance and strike circuit, when information from reconnaissance vehicles, such as UAVs, is transmitted online to the means of destruction. This minimizes the time from target detection to destruction in minutes.

The rockets launched by the BM-27 MLRS can reach a firing range from 35 to 40 km, while the Bureviy has a firing range from 35 to 65 km. The Bureviy can fire all the 220mm rockets including 9M27F HE-Frag (High Explosive Fragmentation), and the unguided rockets 9M27K loaded with fragmentation sub-munitions, 9M59, and 9M27K2. The 9M59 rocket projectile is equipped with a cluster warhead fitted with antitank mines. The 9M27K2 unguided rockets (Hurricane MLRS) are designed for the operational remote setting of anti-tank minefields both in front of the enemy's military equipment units at the edge of the attack and in the area where they are concentrated.

Practice on the Snake Island test range continues.

This war was a reaction, the Russians are yet to make their own action.

Exactly. NATO will resolve it. You will have to send your children to die for the Baltics. I already pointed this out in March. Unlike the insurgencies in Iraq, Libya and Afghanistan, this time NATO troops will actually have to fight.

D-Day veterans didn't have to deal with precision artillery.

So you're saying videos and pictures of known landmarks are fake? Fake news is fake because there's no way to verify it.

Livemap has not been updated for over a month now. Until Slovyansk/Bakhmut come under direct attack, they can't update it either, or morale will fall.

Google the strongest currency this year.

The ones struggling are the Russians themselves. If your bank cards stop working and Western companies exit the country, it doesn't affect Putin. The guy doesn't go grocery shopping. The sanctions have severely affected the day-to-day life of the average Russian. Food imports have stopped with no replacements, they can't make electronic transactions, prices of electronics have skyrocketed, those dependent on foreign markets have become jobless, then job losses in other sectors like retail, food etc. All this while the sanctions are yet to take effect, which could happen in a few months. The West has not declared war on Putin and his cronies but on Russia itself. The West has successfully unified Russia internally.
