Thankfully Delhi hasn't reported any infection in the past 3-4 days, if I'm not mistaken. This is one of the unavoidable steps the administration there had to take. Hopefully, it won't take a huge toll & if we're lucky it'd be near negligible. Let's all emulate @randomradio for a change. We've nothing to lose. Literally.

The gov should have given 2 days' notice before the ban. this could have been avoided. But again we don't really know what the gov knew was a stack.
Cremation can be avoided by burying the corpse in a lime pit. It kills all the viruses & bacteria as well as aids in rapid decomposition of the remains. However uniform implementation of it across the nation is impossible. Hence it's imperative the authorities either make such provisions or take up the responsibility of incinerating the corpse without leaving it to the next of kin to avoid further transmission.
