Forget about the world. They are busy cleaning up their own mess. So far India has done a fantastic job compared to all other countries. Imagine even today there are not enough testing kits in San Francisco Bay Area (one of the richest metropolis in the world). Quite a few of my friends and co workers could not be tested due to lack of test kits !!

We're practically in lock down. My wife's restaurant is closed for in-person business (still doing online ordering or curbside pickup), all schools and bars are closed and there's a compulsory 14-day quarantine for those that traveled abroad. She's locked at home with our daughter most days. I've been working with Oslo University Hospital's staff, 1100 of which were quarantined after travelling aboard leaving the hospital short staffed, to provide support and a liaison between military and civilian command as both coordinate a response.

India has capacity to conduct 10,000 COVID-19 tests per day: Health Ministry

Mumbai: India has increased it's corona virus testing capacity to 10,000 samples per day, a senior Health Ministry official said even as Section 144 was clamped in the national capital region on Sunday as the number COVID-19 positive cases kept on increasing.
A senior Health Ministry official stated in a press conference in New Delhi that the government has a maximum capacity to test around 80,000 samples per week, which is far more than the figures in the US, France, UK or Germany, which stand at 36,000, 10,000, 16,000 and 42,000 respectively, per week.
"Even though our testing facilities are far more than many of the countries, and we can increase those if needed, indiscriminate testing is not needed," he said, adding that the most important guideline to contain the spread of the virus lay in isolation. "I would say the most important thing is isolation, isolation and isolation," he further added.
He said at present 11 government-run facilities are conducting the tests across the country while 60 private laboratories have been registered with the government.
As the number of positive cases keep increasing day by day and fears of shortage of ventilators loom large in the country, order for 1,200 new ventilators have been proposed.
He stressed on the need for home quarantine, for people who had returned from foreign destinations and did not show any symptoms for the virus, is the most important procedure to follow rater than indiscriminate testing.
He said that the medicines used for treatment of the infection have so far not shown any extraordinary
effects.
While 341 people have tested positive in India, the COVID-19 have claimed seven lives so far in the country.

And I just read that IIT Delhi has created one of the cheapest and fastest test kit for this virus and this kit is unergoing testing at national virology institute in PUne. Jai Ho Bharat ka Jugaad and brains.
Most likely it will be based on antibodies test. That test is inaccurate. WHO recommends virus RNA PCR based test.
