Some of the farm labour are paid wages slightly above the minimum wages act? That too for illegal migrants? And that's a source of concern to you. Who's side are you on?
Man, what's your compass? Does North point South in it? OTOH we claim we can't generate enough employment for our citizens. OTOH we're perfectly content claiming that our citizens aren't capable of hard labour & if they are , they aren't being paid well.
While i may have reservation against my fellow citizens from the north, but i can't really say the cheap migrants from Bihar, WB and UP working in Kerala are illegal...In Kerala there is a clear shortage of cheap labour. The traditional coconut huskers from the 'Thandan' community are no longer willing to do the traditional jobs, so we mostly depend on imported laborers from Hindi heartland. Some resourceful people have invented devices that husk large number coconuts in the shortest possible time or that can make precise incisions required to be made on Rubber trees, but those are expensive investments at the moment, but it is catching up.
