While i may have reservation against my fellow citizens from the north, but i can't really say the cheap migrants from Bihar, WB and UP working in Kerala are illegal...In Kerala there is a clear shortage of cheap labour. The traditional coconut huskers from the 'Thandan' community are no longer willing to do the traditional jobs, so we mostly depend on imported laborers from Hindi heartland. Some resourceful people have invented devices that husk large number coconuts in the shortest possible time or that can make precise incisions required to be made on Rubber trees, but those are expensive investments at the moment, but it is catching up.

We can't deport them, as long as they are our citizens. Although there is rising resentment against their social behaviors and general tendency to indulge in crime. They drink and fight in the open, they defecate in the open , even though we give them proper toilets. North Indian states should have some policy to ensure these unskilled labourers are employed locally and don't have to travel this far for low skilled employment.

North India needs to somehow finds means to reconcile their communal differences among its various communities and not let those differences take the rest of the country down or stifle our national progress. Unfortunately there is no way we can insulate south or the rest of India from the backwards socio-politcal idea of parts of Hindi heartland. I think successive congress, JD, SP , BSP and BJP must take the blame for allowing hundreds of millions of people to remain uneducated and trapped in a medieval social makeup. All the violence, lawlessness and social backwardness is due to this abject historic neglect. Sometimes i think North india needs a bit of south Indianization to come out of this rut.

Given the history of Northern part of the country that will never happen. From economic point of view peshawar to lucknow formed an economic block which had a sizable economic opportunity. Now that being broken there is more competition for the available opportunities which often spills over to other domains.
 
Muslims believe they are using Commies and Liberals and vice-versa. Sad state of affairs. Muslims are well integrated in Indian society and they are ruining their reputation to be treated as an immigrant.

There is a deep game being played here and these nincompoops are dancing on MSD's tunes. It's not by chance that measures like removal of Triple Talaq, Art 370, Ayodhaya verdict and CAA/NRC are being passed one after another. In pipeline are UCC, Anti conversion bill, declaring Hindus minority in some states etc. MSD is banking on blowback and violence to bring Hindu Rashtra into fore. I didn't believe it earlier but now i am somewhat convinced on how Right wing is silent and police is offering bare minimum resistance. It's like they want Muslim mobs to go on rampage.

I am still skeptical but can sense game of another level is being played in background.

What about the "Sakth Laounda" image of Modi which is taking a hit due to these continued protests, and him coming across as a clueless Launda...
