Zimbabwe Gives Land Back to White Farmers After Wrecking Economy

(Bloomberg) --

Two decades after President Robert Mugabe wrecked Zimbabwe’s economy by urging black subsistence farmers to violently force white commercial farmers and their workers off their land, his successor has thrown in the towel.

Emmerson Mnangagwa’s government has proposed settling all outstanding claims against it by farmers by offering them land.

“The object of the regulations is to provide for the disposal of land to persons entitled to compensation,” Land Minister Perence Shiri said in regulations published in the Government Gazette Friday.

The seizures that began in 2000 were ratified by the government, which said they were needed to redress colonial imbalances. A vibrant agricultural industry that exported tobacco and roses and grew most of the food the nation needed collapsed. Periodic food shortages ensued, inflation became the world’s highest and the manufacturing industry was decimated. What was one of Africa’s richest countries became one of its poorest.

Almost 4,500 white-owned properties and others protected under government-to-government agreements were affected by the program.

The southern African nation this year budgeted about Z$380 million ($21 million) for compensation. Several farms that were protected under so-called Bilateral Investment Protection Agreements belonged to nations including the U.K., South Africa, Australia, the Netherlands and Denmark.

Seems quite the earth shattering news, isn't it Paddy? Are you guys going to declare it a public holiday or something ro commemorate the day. Btw - Much before Iran proved UK's impotence , Mugabe did it. With elan. All Blair could do is wring his hands & screech like a Banshee. It was such pleasure watching the PM of a P-5 nation openly confess to his impotence, I tell you Paddy.

When your opponent is stabbing themselves in the head, what need is there to intervene?

That's not what Blair did. He went to town as if his own personal property was confiscated. In the event what happened? 2 -3 generations of Black Zimbabwean future was destroyed as also White Zimbabwean. Mugabe literally got away with murder. British impotence was there for all to see as was African solidarity. The wheel has come full circle. And you're posting this news in a blog from that part of the world where you'd be lucky if you got a dozen eye balls for it.

You're contradicting yourself now. If he went to town as if his own personal property had been stolen, that would imply intervention, whereas all he did was offer some soundbites and let Mugabe stab himself to death. Intervention would have allowed Mugabe to portray the white man/British as the evil colonialists and to blame them for everything that went wrong, instead Mugabe was left to lie in the death bed he made for himself. They were waiting for him to pass away but he went and made the dipsh1t move of selecting his wife as the next leader and was booted out early and now his 4 decades of rule are being reversed and he's dead. How could intervention have achieved an ending that was anymore perfect?

This is what the Blair Witch project came up with.
EU imposes sanctions on Zimbabwe
Financial sanctions, Zimbabwe

Mugabe went so far as to call Blair a fairy. Muahahaha. . All this talk about the UK being astute enough to wait & see Mugabe bring ruin on to himself is just that. Talk. Blair tried his best to get the African nations to back UK & sanction Mugabe.

The AU basically asked Blair to bendover & kiss their large collective black backsides. In the event Mugabe continued for another 2 decades, poked a few fingers up the collective a-r-s-e of the UK ( much to their delight, indulging them in their favourite hobby?) , oversaw the deterioration of his country's economy almost divided African solidarity & got out of the entire thing intact. Unlike SH or Qaddafi.

All the while calling everyone of eminence in UK names & mocking them including the old hag in Buckingham & her toothy family. That to me takes some guts & luck. I'm a huge fan of Mugabe for sticking it into Britcunts. Three cheers for Mugabe.

What many would regard as unethical is what Chatunga Mugabe 21 years old sees as only way to reducing discomfort after a heavy meal in a restaurant in FEED WELL restaurant of a small village in Zimbabwe.

It is a common thing these days that when people come out from a restaurant they get pressed and would need to use a toilet, this was the case of ex president son Chatunga after visiting a restaurant with friends, he was said to have eat so much expecting that the restaurant had rest room where that he could use if pressed.

His shock came however when he was told the toilet was broken and had since been removed for fixing. According to one of his friends ‘’ Chatunga was so pressed that his legs were shaking and we could see his eyes bulging out’’

He quickly ran out of the restaurant to a pedestrian way and removed his clothing and began to defecate. People passed by and wondered if he was mad or doing it for fun, but to pressed Chatunga he was just trying to set self-free of the discomfort.
