Hardly think it's appropriate to use the word 'karma' when the victim is a innocent girl.
Well, the innocent girl had dunces for leaders. Still do. And they aren't even Irish.I say this most politely. The sins of the father come visiting the son or something to that effect. That's what he meant by Karma. Isn't it a biblical saying, Paddy?

Well I can agree with part of that but it depends how you mean 'karma'. We should never have let them in in hindsight and some people did say at the time but they made the same argument about everyone from Indians to Africans at the time as well.

LONDON (Reuters) - The United Kingdom announced on Wednesday it would pursue accession to a revamped version of the Trans-Pacific Partnership.

“Today we’re announcing our intent to pursue accession to CPTPP, one of the world’s largest free trading areas,” Trade Secretary Liz Truss said.

The British government said joining CPTPP would help the UK overcome the challenge posed by the coronavirus and would help diversity its trade links.

The Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) is a free trade agreement that links Canada and 10 other countries: Australia, Brunei, Chile, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Peru, Singapore and Vietnam.

Once fully implemented, the 11 countries will form a trading bloc representing 495 million consumers and 13.5% of global GDP, according to the Canadian government. If the United Kingdom were to join, that share of global GDP would rise to about 16%.

The United Kingdom left the European Union on Jan. 31 but the main terms of its membership remain in place during a transition period until the end of this year. Both the UK and EU hope to negotiate a new free trade deal between them by the end of the year.

These are the types of moves going forward that will contain China and strengthen countries in the periphery. I feel the US will likely rejoin the pact in the near future.

The countries are most likely waiting for elections, for the impending Trump defeat.

Time to cancel some Chinese debt.
Cut the comedy, Paddy else the Chinese will ensure none of the British ships cross the Suez into the Bab el Mendheb straits. In dummy terms no UK ships go past the Red Sea courtesy Chinese base in Djibouti.

You had your pants taken off by the moth eaten Iranian regime & their rag tag militia for crying out loud.

Same is true of France post pandemic.

This is due to GDP effectively being quashed for 3 months of lockdown. Time to cancel some Chinese debt.
Yes but your evolution is from 85.4 % to 100.9 % compare to our which is from 98.1 % to 101.2 %.
France's Government debt accounted for 101.2 % of the country's Nominal GDP in Mar 2020, compared with the ratio of 98.1 % in the previous quarter.

Your figure is pre-pandemic then, our figure is until end of May, hence it's a bit fudged because the GDP figure is effectively for 10 months only, hence the debt ratio seems huge.

From the original article:

The UK's debt is now worth more than its economy after the government borrowed a record amount in May.

The government has borrowed money in April and May to pay businesses who were closed due to the pandemic as well as 90+% of businesses being closed and hence 90+% of GDP gone for 2 months. Since the end of May most businesses have re-opened, so basically our post-pandemic debt ratio is better than your pre-pandemic debt ratio, even though the GDP figure being used is only ~83% of normal, non-pandemic GDP. :D
