Taiwanese army exercises, BGM-71 TOW ATGM review. The Taiwanese army conducted an exercise using the BGM-71E ATGM. The American TOW-2A ATGM was put into service in 1987 and is one of the most popular ATGMs in the world; ATGM missiles are constantly being upgraded. The TOW-2A missile has a tandem warhead and can hit targets at ranges up to 3750 meters, the missile is controlled by wire. When the missile hits the target, the charge forms a cumulative jet, which triggers the dynamic protection of the attacked object, after which the cumulative jet of the main charge that fires after it pierces up to 900 mm of homogeneous armor. ATGM is considered simple and reliable, has good reviews for use in conflicts in the Persian Gulf. The mass of the main ATGM charge is 5.9 kg, the auxiliary charge weighs 300 grams. Tests of Taiwan's Flyingfish kamikaze drone. The loitering munition was developed by the Taiwanese company JC Tech. The company currently produces three types of kamikaze drones, but there is almost no information about them. The estimated characteristics of the drone are: weight 2.2 kg, warhead weight 500 grams, flight range up to 10 kilometers. The drone uses artificial intelligence, GPS and camera algorithms to operate. The drone is launched using a catapult.

 

Taiwan has officially rolled out a new anti-ballistic missile system called Chiang Kung, or Strong Bow, which it says is now in production. The system features a two-stage interceptor and includes the first active electronically-scanned array (AESA) radar domestically produced on the island. Taiwanese armed forces would face huge barrages of ballistic missiles as part of any future invasion from the mainland.
