S-400 'Triumf' News & Discussion

It'a not easy to develop long range air defence like S-400. Our BMD was for specific targets. Now with XR-SAM, slowly we're moving towards having this game-changing area denial A2AD in indigenous form. Having S-400 helps us in our local development as we understand the operating procedures of this high-tech system better.

@randomradio

Apparently S-400 system is intercepting Storm Shadows in flock and even managed to shoot one Patriot interceptor missile, something that is very rare. Speaks volumes about its game-changing capabilities, IMO.
Just making sht up, huh?

Meanwhile....

Tor protecting the s400 tried its best but fail. Oh and reason why you see the crew out is because they thought they were the target.

You are clearly too gullible and always consistent with confirmation bias.

Of course, I can't confirm the veracity of this but it is according to Russian MOD:

Where's the Patriot debris? I mean Russians love to show debris they have shot down or debris that have crashed and claim to have shot it down.

And you can't get more clown world than using eurasiatimes quoting a Russian MOD.

Failing at intercepting Storm Shadows is kinda logical given the S-400 is better at medium/high altitude versus low level skimming missiles.

The embarassing part is difficulty shooting down GMLRS and ATACMS. 1990's technology.

There's no way, the Patriot would be surviving RN, if it had the S-400 performance that's for sure.

Even more S-400 launcher and radars are destroyed. The radars are the valuable stuff.

Not doing a great job against ATACMS. To be fair, it's very difficult as the speed gives limited engagement time.

Crimea is quite the show right now.

What about atcams
Only the carboard ones. They are flat-packed and can be taken deep into Russia by special forces.

Ukrainian ambassador to Australia, Vasyl Myroshnychenko, is reported to be a fan of SYPAQ’s cardboard drones. “It looks like something that kids would play with but when you see what it can do, it’s really amazing,” Myroshnychenko said. “They have been very good at inflicting lots of damage on the enemy.”

Ukraine claimed it struck five Russian fighter jets in a kamikaze drone attack on Kursk Airfield last week, the Kyiv Post reported. “A source in the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), said a wave of drones hit ‘four Su-30 aircraft and one MiG-29’ at the facility, as well as damaging two Pantsir missile launchers and the radars of an S-300 air defence system,”

What an S-400 kill and a spec ops raid reveal about Ukraine’s ability to hit Russia

It may be a failed Patriot, at the end of its ballistic trajectory once being out of fuel and with nearly only potential energy.... In this case it is quite easy.
We know too few about this history.
