People's Republic of China (PRC) : News & Discussions

I don't want to have these boring discussions with Indians about Mao Zedong. My Indian friend knows neither India nor China. I say something that many people do not believe. In 1949, the CCP proposed to reduce the number of people who starve to death to one million a year. In China, more than 10 million people starved to death each year

So, basically. Even for history you dont have anything to back your claims. One can understand why military related things can be secretive but man never questioned your own history? You just believe everything that party told you. Thats just pathetic way to cope.
Since you do not believe China's past history, discuss the present, why India's food production is only 1/2 of China's? India's land area is 130% of China's, and India's grain can be harvested three times a year
My understanding of this is that the legacy of Mao Zedong to China, is India's food production the legacy of Gandhi to India?
Then why did you start the discussion? Next time, resist the temptation
let we discuss when an American gentleman gives an f404 engine to a beggar

I think I've made it clear that you don't have to be unreasonable here to distract people from the focus of hunger in India, China leads India in food production because of the Mao-era agricultural-rural system and massive agricultural infrastructure
And you acknowledge the gigantic scale of the "mistake" by Mao?

In India, this nation is very characteristic, at least from this Indian friend, they pay a lot of attention to lip service, as he will tell you, we can produce Su-30 from scratch, al 31 engine from scratch
What about reality? To be honest, I don't know what role this Indian friend will play in a future war, killed in a Himalayan trench by a battle droid coming out of nowhere using HJ-12 and 93MM RPGS, or fleeing back to his homeland after the Indian border collapses?
Perhaps at the moment of his death he will remember the day when he argued all night with a Chinese for the poor national honour of India

Or the battle droid gets late lighted by a pfv drone, how about you stay on your borders and we ours

A prototype of the Feiyi drone for underwater launch has been shown in China. The drone was created by specialists from the Northwestern Polytechnical University, in cooperation with the Chinese Society of Aeronautics. It is assumed that the drone will be launched from submarines and return to them after completing the task. How the drone will be controlled from a submarine is not reported, perhaps a cable or antenna on buoys will be used.

The Chinese company Norinco showed footage of tests of the GL-6 active protection system for a tank. The GL-6 active protection system protects the tank from RPGs, ATGMs and loitering drones, although it is unlikely that the latter will happen. The system is similar to the Russian Arena-M and Israeli Trophy systems, but its protective mortars are not rigidly fixed and rotate. This solution allows to reduce the number of protective ammunition, but reduces the reliability of the system. A Type 99 tank was fired upon to test the protection. The shelling was carried out from the ground and from a UAV. The GL-6 active protection system itself is made in the form of a pair of two-charge rotating launchers and a radar station that monitors the situation near the tank. When threatened, the launchers turn towards the attacking grenade or ATGM and fire protective ammunition.

In China, they showed the concept of the SS-UAV Jiutian UAV, a carrier of FPV drones and cruise missiles. Despite the fact that this is a concept, it is already possible to estimate in what direction the development of military unmanned vehicles will move. At the first stage, swarms of drones will appear, then they will begin to create flying drone carriers. The flight of the first UAV sample is promised in June. As reported, the Jiutian UAV is designed to launch more than 100 drones or small-sized missiles. It will have a flight range of up to 7,000 km, they plan to launch drones from an altitude of 15 km. The UAV has a modular architecture, it is possible to replace the payload in it within two hours. The SS-UAV Jiutian flying aircraft carrier will be able to carry LS-6, YL-V302 guided bombs, TL-7 (KD-88), PL-11AE and PL-12E missiles. The wingspan of the SS-UAV Jiutian UAV is 25 meters, takeoff weight is 16 tons, payload is 6 tons, flight speed is up to 700 km/h, with a duration of up to 12 hours.

China would lose control of Tibet after the next big-war with us(which is inevitable sooner or later). Indian Army's might has gone-up substantially thanks to a patriotic gov. in charge for the last decade.

IAF is in trouble right now but that is because we dropped out of FGFA program and didn't sign original MMRCA for 126 Rafale. But GOI is now actively working to address these issues and don't be surprised if we resurrect FGFA program once again and order more Rafale as gov-to-gov deal but made in India. GE and US is screwing us but thanks to Russia and France, now there is legit plan B as for the engines of Tejas series is concerned. Anywats, don't think US will go that far. So once Tejas MK1A & MK2 start to get inducted, IAF's health should improve significantly against PLAAF(by the end of this decade).

Let these Chinese jokers think what they want, but in a real war IA will decimate PLA. Mark it.

I don't think India can recapture Tibet. However I have full confidence in the Indian Army. They will definitely teach the PLA a lesson they will not forget for a while. The only concern is PLAAF and PLARF. India must establish a full scale Rocket force which must have hundreds of Pralays, Brahmos, LRHASM, BM04 and thousands of long range 100 km Pinakaa.

To blunt PLAAF advantage we need to launch hundreds of missiles at all of their airbases in Tibet in the beginning stages of war. They have 6 airbases, each would need no less than 30-35 precision hits on runways, hangars and other infrastructure to take them out. We must also hit bridges and highways connecting Tibet with Han land to slow their logistics. We need to have a Pralay and Nirbhay combined force reaching near 1,000 and hundreds of LRHAM and BM04. And imo, to show the aukaat of the PLA to the arrogant Chinese populace, we need to have conventional missiles which can hit PLA installations in their cities such as Chengdu, Wuhan etc.
@LX1111 not only weapons, but the will and courage to enforce one's hubris and confidence will also stand trial in the event of war. If China has the courage to enforce its outrageous claims, then come to the battlefield to enforce them. Let's see who emerges victor.

A graphite bomb designed to disable a power plant and cut off electricity was shown in China. Graphite weapons can affect control systems, causing power outages over an area of at least 10,000 square meters. No details about the name or type of such weapons are given. According to experts, it is a graphite bomb. In the footage, a mobile launcher launches a projectile at a distance of up to 290 km. When a graphite munition with a warhead weighing 490 kg explodes, 90 cylindrical submunitions are ejected. Then thin carbon threads are dispersed, which cause a short circuit in the energy infrastructure networks.

Isn't it just better to fill the missile warhead conventional exploding submunitions?
Explosions.

China's New 'Military City' Is 10x the U.S. Pentagon's Size | WSJ Coordinates
China is building what is believed to be the world’s biggest military command center on the outskirts of Beijing. The new site for the PLA is ten times the size of the Pentagon with satellite images revealing deep underground networks believed to contain bunkers.

WSJ explains how this new base could reshape the global security landscape as China hopes to modernize its military like the U.S., NATO countries and Russia.

We also had plans for a new centralized military command but it seems that got nowhere.

China's economy has been in deep sh*t for a while; they're just trying to kick the can further down the road and keep their GDP numbers up with these do-nothing construction projects. Ultimately this is where the CCP leadership will go hide when their doomed 2027 attempt to take Taiwan goes nowhere and the people are on the streets revolting the decline.
