IAF.Does anyone know is it Army or Airforce that operate S-400?
Why would we sell it to them?Shouldn't Taiwan be interested in Indian AD system as Pakistan was using China systems, and China is Taiwan adversary also? I believe that Indian ADS is much more economical than other countries.
Every country looks for Export opportunity for their defense systems (export variant) as it provides increase in strategic collaboration/depth in addition to $ received. Here simple philosophy is that do the things which puts your adversary in difficult position. Why would we sell it to them?
We have way bigger trade and dependency on China for us to do that.Every country looks for Export opportunity for their defense systems (export variant) as it provides increase in strategic collaboration/depth in addition to $ received. Do you think Su57 if bought can counter their J35 in BVRM (that is if Su57 comes with R37M and Russkis allow us to integrate Astra Mk2 on it)?
Essentially taking out their airbases in a pre emptive strike? Our brahmos and Pralays can do that but we would need tens per airfield.I think Su-57 will only be considered when & if the Russians manage to fix all the concerns which led us to abandon FGFA program. But if they were willing to do that, we'd never have abandoned it in the first place. Remains to be seen if they have a change of mind.
If F-35 is unavailable due to geopolitical reasons, then we're gonna have to adapt our doctrine to the new tactical realities. That would include a very heavy emphasis on the Rocket Forces, declaring an NFZ early and filling the air with long-range SAMs so that enemy AEWs would be destroyed whether they remain in hangars or in the air - that would even the odds slightly before sending our jets into BVR duels with an enemy that already has the stealth advantage.
Neither, BSF operates it according to PeeDF pakeesDoes anyone know is it Army or Airforce that operate S-400?
What about KF-21, too similar to AMCA to consider and not true stealth within the timeline we need? I think CATS Max will also fast tracked in that case.I think Su-57 will only be considered when & if the Russians manage to fix all the concerns which led us to abandon FGFA program. Lol....they be crazy. BSF of all the forces? ROFL.Neither, BSF operates it according to PeeDF pakees![]()

we did not loose any fighter aircraft. Pakistan did loose many.BIG BREAKING -
'The PRINT' REPORTING-
PL-15 DID NOT SCORE A SINGLE HIT
Multiple aircrafts down on both sides. None attributable to PL 15. All chinese weapons under-performed. Technical analysis is still on. IAF is carefully building the picture for number of jets shot down on both sides and related proof for it.

Thanks for sharing this.Houthis or the proof that a doctrine against high-tech asset can score :
Let me summarize: an IR camera can detect an F-35 or any other aircraft passing within range. A TV camera and a good pair of eyes can achieve the same result. Then it all depends on the network of spotters/cameras. Of course, spotters are less effective at night. Based on this principle, which isn't very difficult to understand once you've left behind the imaginary world of invisible aircraft, the Houthis have set up lookouts for any flying targets passing close by - the principle of the mine, in fact. All that's needed to guide the missile is the right LAN and a slightly reactive terminal guidance system.
In short, against a mobile defense using this AA mine strategy, stealth missiles risk seeing their effective area of action severely limited.

How The Houthis' Rickety Air Defenses Threaten Even The F-35
Highly mobile Houthi SAM systems and ones that use passive infrared sensors present a vexing problem for even advanced U.S. combat aircraft.www.twz.com
We probably have another PVC for IAF after F/O Nirmaljeet Singh Sekhon (PVC, Posthumous)@VSTOL_jockey
Apparently there is going to be a detailed briefing from IAF with technical analysis and proof....that ZERO planes were lost on the IAF side.
congrats- looks like your stand is going to be validated.
