Operation Sindoor: India Strikes Terroist Camps Inside Pakitsan

Are you sure there weren't meteors on the top cover aircraft? If not, why not? Were there holes in the total mission planning?
This air battle will be studied across the world, as more facts come out.
From what we know so far, no meteor wreckage has been found in India or Pakistan or Pakistan Occupied J&K region unlike multiple pl-15 wreckages and spyder sam wreckage of python-5 also.

Why no meteors?
we don't know, probably poor planning? constrained RoE since we are firing first? less meteor stock? no one knows at present

Sympathetic nuclear detonation?
Chances are that when we striked the nuclear storage facilities in Kirana hills near Sargodha airbase. Our missiles destroyed their tunnels.

Now there was an earthquake reported in Pakistan. So could possibly be a nuke detonation. But the earth quake epicenter was near Quetta. But three earth quakes had happened. Maybe we hit some. This speculation and most likely not true. But it was striking the nuclear storage facilities that made Trump/Vance call

Idk. Apparently we did not use meteors and I believe we did not even attack Pakistani aircrafts because the RoE from our side was to not attack any Pakistan military or civilian assets. Only terrorist jihadi assets. So our air force was handicapped.
The 125 large "bvr fight" was one sided with Pakistanis spamming pl-15's across our airspace.
Why were the rafales not armed with meteors is another question that only the IAF can answer.

What we need is a modern air superiority fighter, not an omni role aircraft to do that job. MKI is good, but not sufficient for modern battle field.
If we just did the Irbis-E upgrade and integrated the r-37M it would have been enough. I just hope with virupaksha is integrated on priority we do integrate the r-37m.
Also the mmrca needs to go to the typhoon or f-15EX. And the e-3 sentry or e-7 wedge tail needs to be procured along with the phalcon AEWCS.
We need to massively invest in our airforce.

Probably didn’t want Meteor debries inside Pak like we got PL-15. We probably didn’t want China getting their hands on them. We were confident of evading PL-15 and used Astra (mostly) .. If true, and given the kind of effectiveness we have seen with reports of multiple jets being shot down, I will say this was a risk worth taking .. But let’s see what IAF’s official report says

I honestly think we did not engage the Pakistanis on May 7th it was just bait and switch and closer to Balakot in the sense of not actually engaging PAF and de-escalate the situation.

1. If Pakistan public cannot be fooled by their military, they might blame it on PM and even replace him.
2. Section of Military overlooked the command may lead to internal turmoil/ coup.

We ll see how Pak public reacts in few days, at present they ll be happy they escaped..blaming starts later..

For meteors I may hazard guess and I might be completely wrong, but stock might be limited and without knowing how this Op goes they might have kept it in storage for a later day. Remember AAMs also have very limited life once actively used on pylons, meanwhile PAF whole shtick is a hail mary salvo of pl-15s to stop us and even end the conflict then and there by bagging some air to air kills.

Personally I feel that is a bad decision. Ideally we should have taken out saab eyrie with meteors and even hammered any Airdefence and then struck the terrorist camps giving our position that we targeted terrorists and protector of terrorist who tried to stop us (pak mil).

So...pakistan is no longer a nuclear weapons state then-- if they are unable to access those weapons....
