That would certainly be very pakistani like.. but the stupidest mistake they can make.

They are getting the forces & nation ready. Psychologically. War needs as much mental strength as physical or weapons. Including the masses.
What this does is bring the idea of full fledged war into mainstream discourse like it was not before in india. All previous wars happened in an era where even telephones weren't a reality for indians. While recently since 1990s, the idea was only toyed with to justify not going for hard action against enemies. The crumbling of defense preparedness as we saw.
Also helps in weeding out more of certain elements.
Atleast that's what I believe going by the escalation ladder since 2016 and evolving public discourse. The big war might or might not happen anytime soon. But the society needs to mentally prepare for it and India as a state must go through the next step pf challenges from within.
Expect increasing activity from tukde tukde gang with plenty of political support.

First the govt and military themselves need to be ready and then only nation can prepare. Just doing peptalks without any action on ground without physical, medical and mental training to the rest of the population in schools and offices it's worthless.
Just one of the many things needed. Top has given the signal. Military hierarchy & Civilian Beauracracy has to do its job. That's preparing them mentally. Even the kind of action needed on ground in current reality of india today needs mental fortitude. Lots of narrative warfare to infuse confusion into minds of indians.
Meanwhile I won't comment on military part as we wont see the change as openly as we can in civilian discourse.

Don't we have a tactical advantage in that area? Pakistan Army would be delusional to try to do a ground invasion. It feels more like a defensive posture rather than offensive to me. But yes, we can never take this lightly. Pakistan at the end is far from a rationale actor. It's run by morons. So anything could happen. Anyways I think babus are rather proactive this time. Otherwise Mr.Singh wouldn't be giving these speeches. We certainly are rather on guard and expect some kind of misadventure from Pakistani side. Unfortunately, though as usual we are waiting for them to do something first, for us to justify our actions.This requires “Proactive action” and that’s not something we are known to do.

I belive I posted this earlier — one thing that needs to happen is that, every Indian should understand the cost of such a war. There will be losses and casualties. There will be missiles landing in Indian cities leading to loss of civilian lives and property. We as a nation need to be united and resilient and mentally prepared to accept such when the time comes! This needs conditioning — the youth is ready for war, you will never know till the first missile hits a building in a city and the same youth sees their loved ones or neighbours being blown to pieces! This will require preparation, and if reality is this that we are moving towards an inevitable full blown war, GoI has to focus this nation wide.
Yes. They won’t make the ground incursion, it’s to prevent us from making one after their mischief is done. We have definite advantage, like we did in many other cases in the past (remember when our SF captured a Peak after Galwan, only to relinquish the hold later - thanks to our Babus?), but, alas, we (our Babus) as a practice don’t miss any chance to miss our chances!
