He had Advanced Bone Cancer, The pain or Chemotherapy will be unbearable in such conditions.

Advanced Bone Cancer ,normally means cancer in stage 3 or stage 4. When Cancer Metastasis spreads to other organs, typically liver,spinal cord.brain etc.
When that happens all you could do is only RadioTherapy (Irradiation of affected parts) or Chemotherapy, most cases it will be both combined with Surgery . Chemo and Radio therapy is aimed to reduce the size of the cancer and stop its spread.But most cases there is a Remission and prognosis would be calculated in 5 year Survival rates. Some Bone cancers can be cured completely.
The causes could be Genetic. or exposure to chemicals,radiation mostly. We don't know what was the Officer exposed to in his Profession. Some in my Doctors group said he was in Stage 3b of cancer.

Aniline dyes ,exposure to lead, paints,dyes, cigarettes cause Urinary bladder cancer.
Lung cancers are caused by exposure to Cement,fiber glass, cotton,asbestos, Sugarcane dust,Tar and cigarettes.
Gastro Intestinal cancers mostly are Genetic. They are also caused by repeated Infection by Helicobacter Pylori (a bacteria found in gastroenteritis, which lives in stomach acidic environment and causes erosion of Gut leading to rupture) And too much Red meat consumption without adequate roughage( plant fiber) in diet leading to constipation and later leads to Hemorroids and cancer.
Blood Cancers are more seen in young kids, mostly genetically inherited. They have very good recovery rates.
Liver and Pancreatic cancers are mostly due to infection from Hepatitis viruses or Alcohol Consumption.
Out of all these cancers Pancreatic cancer is the worst. Its survival rate is just less than a year.Even Steve jobs with all his wealth could not live beyond 1 year after being diagnosed of Pancreatic Cancer.
It is good to get a Liver Function test done once every 6 months to screen problems as these liver and pancreatic cancers are silent cancers, you won't know about them until they reach advanced stages.
I think Steve jobs did survive his Pancreatic cancer which occurred around 2004, because he had a rare form of Pancreatic cancer which is curable. But it did affect his liver and in spite of going through liver transplant he did not survive the second time.

When your Pancreas stopped working or produce different digestive juices and stop producing Insulin, the whole load will fall on Liver as it is the kitchen of the body(as it prepares the proteins,clotting factors of blood and a lot of other things from food) When it happens you Usually have Cirrhosis( bloated abdomen with fluid collected in it) this leads to Portal Venous Hypertenstion, This condition affects heart and later it affects Kidneys.
It is all linked up, once one system fails,the load will be shared by other systems,which will have to work more to share the more than normal load and eventually systems fails in long run. Our body is just like a Machine or a Electrical Chipset.

Yea, when I heard he was headed to Sloan Kettering I knew it wasn't Pancreatitis. Honestly, I had my doubts even when he was being treated in India, it just seemed like a weak cover up job. Really felt for the poor guy though, he seemed to be a good person and a good DM.

Well, it is not a good news, If it was the head of Pancreas we could do Whipple's Operation or (PancreaticoDuodenectomy ) in early stages.
Whipple's Operation is complex,normally takes around 10 to 12 hours of Continuous Surgery(One of the longest duration Surgeries)
But i wouldn't bet them living more than 5 months. You can try Ayurveda, i don't exactly know Advanced Ayurveda. But i seen cases of my friend whose Mother was diagnosed by Stage 3 Breast cancer with Metastasis in Neck and Abdomen. Surgical assessment said despite Surgery and chemotherapy she was given 6 to 7 Months to live, My friend couldn't afford that.

Mouth and somewhat throat cancer typically comes from Tobacco chewing ,Zarda,Khaini,Gutka normally,
Tongue Cancer is most exclusively due to Gutka,Tobacco Chewing
Your Esophageal Cancer (food pipe) comes from GERD(Gastro Esophageal Reflux Disease) Where constant acid reflux from stomach to your Oesophagus changes its cellular structure and leads to Cancer.
Funny thing is too much Hot and Cold stuff could also give you Esophageal cancer.
