Man Portable Anti-Tank Guided Missile (MPATGM) Developments : Updates & Discussions

MP-ATGM developed by the DRDO for the Indian Army will see induction in significant numbers, defence sources told ANI.

As per the proposal, the Indian Army will get 100 launchers along with 2300 missiles and five simulators for the weapon system to be produced by Bharat Dynamics Limited as the production agency for the Indigenously Designed, Developed and Manufactured system.

The Defence Ministry will also work towards finding new production partners in the private sector for the weapon system and the project cost is expected to be over Rs 2,600 crore.

Only DAC clearance keeps coming, but contracts are never signed. Probably lakhs of crores of systems which are stuck between DAC and CCS.
 
I am surprised that the MP-ATGM features a uncooled IR seeker.
Are we sure about that?

Because various news outlets claim the system has a uncooled IIR seeker with which it has been test fired multiple times.

As far as I know It was always supposed to be Uncooled IIR seeker, I think I saw some brochure or document in 2024 that all but confirmed it.
Don't Remember what it was exactly but I am sure it is supposed to be uncooled
