I actually hope this stalemate continues through the winter, so that the Chinese actually experience that which they have underestimated. It will then play a significant part in how they proceed in the future.
Skin started coming off from the face of Chinese soldiers in Pangong Tso in the Chinese propaganda video. Looks like PLA boys not liking UV rays.

But the problem of PLA staying there longer is that ultimately they will learn and adapt, just like IA did in siachen

The video which has been used to make these drawings is undated and from the looks of it, they seem to be pre 29th Aug. You do not see any snow on any feature in the video or the photos. We know that These areas recieved first snowfall in mid sep and the higher grounds are snowed out.

That video is made after 29 August . Chinese troops are in Bump, Indian troops few hundred meters down blocking the Chinese from coming down to gurung hill.

You can see PLA flag in Bump at 0:03 seconds.

At 0:10 seconds, you can see Indian fortifications.

This can also be confirmed by statellite pictures after Aug 29

North facing Indian wall in this satellite picture is the same one in the video at 10 seconds, as proven by Geo tagging.

Our troops have a comfortable view of Moldo, but PLA is few hundred meters above in bump.

In this Terrain , Occupying a certain Height or Any Territory is done so with Two Things in Mind

1 ) Whether they are Logistically sustainable

2 ) If a conflict breaks out , Will we able to Target the enemy posts and positions effectively

So a difference of a few hundred matters is , irrelevant

This government is master of devising a response to every chellenge. Modi masters this art. Look at the Pakistan. They have been made almost irrelevant by devicing a hybrid response of diplomacy, little use of force, foreign policy and economic action backed by strong lobbying and intelligence. This is a most cost effective and highly fruitful response.

In my opinion, china's misadventure will cost them very high. End result will be more active India in south China sea, strengthening of quad, exposure of China as a nation not as strong as it pretend to be, end of Chinese hegemony against India, huge economic loss to China and great increase in soft power of India. In my opinion, this government has devised a great hybrid response to China's misadventure which is very cost effective.

Taking Back POK will cost us lives of many soldiers

It is not worth it

Better use IAF , Brahmos and Navy to destroy their assets

A Land War is desirable only on the plains ie Downwards from Jammu

Btw, PoK = Azad Kashmir + GB. And if we plan to take PoK, it's going to be both regions. There's no point in taking back only a part of it.

I would also like to see whole PoK back, specially when we paid 55 crore rupees to paxtan to continue its occupation. Imagine filling coffers of your bankrupt adversary in middle of hostility.

Such masterstrokes of Gandhi and Nehru will need blood of Indian soldiers to reverse.

Not really sure. May be to rub it in.
But if so, won't be releasing them in such a hurry ..

As per the post below, he was lost -

I personally don't believe he was lost.
He has been given guest treatment.
testing waters, simply want to gauge our response. Understand some civilian straying but certainly not a uniformed officer. Returning him back safely is similar to what pakistan did last year indicating they are not willing to fight. We need to keep him for some time and send tough message that such recon is not acceptable.
