Are they even with discussing? Instead of giving the non entities publicity and blow them out of proportion which they can use why not ignore them, or slide it with other news for what they actually are.

This is wrong approach.

Right. They are not even worth discussing it.

Except a few idiots living in UK, USA, and Canada on Pakistani and Chinese payroll no one in India even thinks about this.

I am a Sikh too and not only I oppose the Idea of khalistan which was again due to divisive policies of CONgress. It was Indira Gandhi who brought Bhindranwale to defeat Akali dal with 4way politics between buta Singh Akali dal, Indira Gandhi and zail Singh and he went on to become too powerful to claim a separate nation.

I can assure that every Gurudwara committee in India takes care to weed out any person coming from abroad or within India with corrupt mindset. They are not allowed to make any speeches or given any importance. Even Sikhs travelling to Pakistan on pilgrimage tour jathedars take care no one is influenced by their propganda..

So it's better to ignore them and not give any publicity which encourages these idiots.

It was Darbara Singh instead of Buta Singh. The latter was a lightweight - there as a token presence for Mazhabi Sikhs. The Congress was split between the Zail Singh & Darbara Singh group with the former encouraging Bhindranwale to cut the Akalis & Darbara Sigh down to size. IG had outsourced this task to both Zail Singh & Darbara Singh, with the former proving more efficient in the task, so efficient that he helped unleash a Frankenstein in the Punjab & in India and himself died a quiet death. Still recall those childhood days when people used to ask with a macabre sense of humour to those who read the news papers first thing every morning - bhaisahab, aaj score kya hua hain?

Practically every day, there used to be anywhere between 15-20 deaths in the mid to late 80's. Of civilians - principally Hindus in the early days and Sikhs, policemen, Army, CAPF's & terrorists.

Even Sikhs from other parts of India were on their target. We could not even think of visiting Amritsar or other Gurudwaras as they demanded money for which they even resorted to kidnapping of rich Sikhs and taunted for not taking up the cause. How could we when our gurus gave life for our nation Hindustan and visited entire nation with 2 of our takhats situated in Nanded Maharashtra and Patna Sahib Bihar. Gurudwara Shishganj
where guru Tegbahadur ji was martyred for protecting Hindus are all part of Sikhism. A few greedy politicians, people and misguided people can't decide fate of majority of Sikhs. Sikhs have given so much to this nation and so did this nation to Sikhs with heads of armed forces, PM, President, etc.
What more you want.

I think you misunderstand. I've never blamed the Sikh community here or ever questioned their patriotism or even their contributions to this country . It's just that the politics of that time was poisoned and the atmosphere charged. Add to that IG being a control freak and the Akalis functioning as both opposition and 5th Columnists. Enter Bhindranwale - a charismatic orator preacher & social reformer and the Congress used his ultra religious views to counter that of the Akalis. Result was a disaster for Punjab and India with Pakistan playing more than its part in fuelling & sustaining terrorism in the Punjab.

Not misunderstanding. Above was reply to second part that 10 to 15 deaths particularly Hindus. Even fair amount of Sikhs who opposed were killed too. But yes unfortunately Hindus bore brunt more at the behest of directions from Pakistani handlers just like it's happening in Kashmir now and in 1990s when Kashmiri pandits were killed on instructions from Pakistani handlers.

You're partially right & wrong. The roots to the hostility among a section of the Sikh community to the Hindus is very deep and goes back a long time. I don't know if this is the right forum to address this. All that the terrorists under Bhindranwale & later did was exploit this for their own benefits.

The ground for this was already laid by the Akalis who're more like what the Hurriyat is today except that the Akalis contested the elections.

Operation Blue Star and the slaughter of Sikhs in the wake of IG's assassination in Delhi & in some northern cities opened up the floodgates to retaliation against the Hindus in the Punjab, although they were murdering Hindus in significant nos even before Op Blue Star & the aftermath of IG's assassination. They didn't actually need a second invitation from Pakistan to do so. The rest is history.

Completely agree with you that they killed just about anybody who disagreed with them including Sikhs. Towards the end they degenerated into armed criminals who kidnapped, raped, looted and killed. They lost whatever little support they enjoyed among sections in the Punjab and with KPS Gill hammering them against that anvil, they were finished for good. Those were trying times.

Sikh-Canadian activists put on no-fly list after Trudeau's India visit; critics say aim was to appease Indian government

Under the Secure Air Travel Act, the three have been told there are reasonable grounds to suspect they might 'threaten transportation security'

At least three Sikh-Canadian activists have been added to the Canadian no-fly list in recent months, more evidence the federal government may have changed its approach to advocates of Punjabi independence after Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s controversial India trip.

2 Babbar Khalsa men held in Punjab

PRESS TRUST OF INDIA, Chandigarh, May 31, 2019 00:14 IST
Updated : May 31, 2019 00:14 IST

With the arrest of two persons, the Punjab police on Thursday claimed to have busted a module of Babbar Khalsa International (BKI), an outfit backed by Pakistan’s ISI.

Jagdev Singh and Ravinderpal Singh were allegedly arranging funds and weapons for the sleeper cells of the banned group on the directives of Kulwinderjit Singh alias Khanpuriya, currently in Malaysia.

Police had received a specific input that Kulwinderjit Singh, along with his associates, had planned to target leaders of a specific community to spread terror and disturb communal harmony in the State.

Kulwinderjit Singh was involved in terrorist activities and had shifted to Malaysia in January 2019.

Man how can these so called pro khalistanis even think of aligning themselves with islamist terrorist Pakistan , have they forgotten the sacrifices of Sikh gurus who died fighting islamic barbarism ,Sikhs of India have already rejected these ISI slaves and whole India is proud of them
And if these people want "khalistan" they should remember that Lahore was the capital of Maharaja Ranjit Singh and after partition these islamist murdered and drove away sikhs from their own land
Hinduism has a huge influence on Sikhism as it was a part of the Bhakti movement and these bond shall remain forever
