In Europe, I'm more worried about future actions by Daesh.

Attacks in the Red Sea: a US cargo ship hit by a missile off the coast of Yemen

A US cargo ship was hit on Monday by a missile fired by the Houthis off the coast of Yemen, the day after Yemeni Houthi rebels fired a cruise missile at a US destroyer. "At approximately 4pm (13:00 GMT), Iranian-backed Houthi militants fired an anti-ship ballistic missile (...) and struck the M/V Gibraltar Eagle, a US-owned, Marshall Islands-flagged cargo ship," said the US Middle East Military Command (Centcom) (…) /deepl

Every cloud...:)

At a time when relations between Arab countries and Israel are freezing over because of Gaza, ze Germanz sales pitch is: "thanks to the Eurofighter, the Saudi kingdom will be able to protect Israel better".
I'm sure that argument will be a hit with the Saudis (lol).

Will the Strikes on the Houthis Make any Difference?

Decisive results against the Houthis seem fanciful, barring an amphibious offensive, an unappealing if not unthinkable option for coalition magnates.
What would Admiral J. C. Wylie say aboutyesterday’s air and missile strikes against Yemen’s Houthis?

In all likelihood, the author of Military Strategy: A General Theory of Power Control, a fixture in the strategic canon, would be a confirmed skeptic that the strikes will accomplish anything decisive against the rebels.

For Wylie, the goal of military strategy is control—chiefly control of physical space. And he maintains that it takes soldiers or marines on the ground, not aviators or seaborne rocketeers, to seize control of physical space. He proclaims that, in the end, “the man on the scene with a gun” is the arbiter of victory. The soldier toting superior firepower determines who wins.

So decisive results against the Houthis seem fanciful, barring an amphibious offensive, an unappealing if not unthinkable option for coalition magnates. Hence Wylie’s likely skepticism toward the venture were he among the quick today (…)

"Concerning the alleged presence of a headquarters of Israel's Mossad, we visited the house, we inspected every corner of it and everything indicated that it was the family home of an Iraqi businessman," Araji told Kurdish television station K24 after touring the building that was hit.

"These allegations are false and incorrect," added Araji, who has been tasked by the Baghdad government with investigating the Iranian strikes.

BEIRUT — US Central Command today revealed that for the first time since Yemen-based Houthi began attacks on ships in the Red Sea in November, US forces seized “lethal, Iranian-supplied” arms heading to the militant group, including missile components. Two Navy SEALs, however, remain missing after the Jan. 11 operation.

@BMD

Hyundai read my posts and decided to double down on H2.

Batteries can store electricity with barely any losses, with hydrogen you are always wasting electricty.

And I can't see where Hyundai is doubling down on fuel cells here, they are all EV not FCEV despite the title:

batteries charge will decrease over period of time and their performance in cold conditions is not satisfactory.

They seem to have learned their lesson. BEVs are only temporary 'cause it's more mature.

Over a period of about 20 years. The charged energy will be used as soon as it's dark though. The volume of H2 makes it unsuitable for storage, it also embrittles almost any container or pipework longterm.

Yeah, that's why they've patented solid state technology.:ROFLMAO:

no more palestine says netanyahu. monkeys in west asia got a new target to keep themselves engaged.

He said no to a Palestinian state. When people talk about a 2-state solution, it's not actually a solution at all since Hamas would continue attacking. Peace has to come before 2-states is actually a solution otherwise it's just more of the same with a slightly more politically protected launch pad for terror strikes.
