Islamic Republic of Pakistan : News, Discussions & Updates

Amid fears of water shortage during the severe heatwave, a desperate Pakistan hosted an "international conference", warning that every "world order that is on paper" will collapse if the Indus Waters Treaty (IWT) is not upheld. India had suspended the water-sharing treaty, brokered by the World Bank, as one of the punitive measures against Pakistan after the Pahalgam terror attack in April 2025 that killed 26 civilians.

Ukraine and Pakistan have likely already begun cooperating on drone technology and training. If it's military personnel, it shows Pakistan's intention to gain modern drone experience and technology. Alternatively, it could be insurgents from Pakistani terrorist groups. Either way, this deadly expertise will be brought to the border with India.
If Ukraine thinks they can arm Pakistan with no repercussions, then there should be no issues with India doing the same with Russia.

Today, a significant background security-specific briefing was held in Rawalpindi. The briefing was attended by all senior-level journalists and major social media news and defence outlets.

The topic of the briefing was surprisingly different from the conventionally set agendas and did not include internal security, political and diplomatic discourse or institutional issues.

The entire briefing was focused on India and its hegemonic designs across the region. The briefing focused on the reality that India is a failed and unviable state and is destined to disintegrate into smaller states at any moment, with unreconcilable differences in its basic social structure, population, constitutional makeup and the politico-saffronization of its defence forces.

Pakistan will lead the region’s nations against India’s hegemonic designs and delusions.

We shouldn't act like children and try to fight everyone. We can co-operate with Ukraine too. We are already exporting artillery ammo to them indirectly.

If we try to co-operate with Russia, that will piss off both west and US.

Fresh protests took place across Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK), with demonstrations also taking place in countries including the United Kingdom and New Zealand.

The protests follow the arrest of hundreds of activists and the detention of Jammu Kashmir Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC) leader Shaukat Nawaz Mir, reported ANI.

According to activists and local groups, over 600 JAAC workers and supporters have been detained in recent days. Protesters say they are demanding the release of those arrested, protection of civil rights and action on long-standing issues affecting people in the region.

The Awami Action Committee shared pictures and videos on social media showing a large gathering of overseas Kashmiris in London. Similar demonstrations also took place in Auckland, where members of the Kashmiri diaspora demanded the release of detained activists.

If they get pissed off, who cares? You think they cared if we got pissed off when they arm pakistan? Let them taste their own medicine for a change, only then will they learn.

Your long term alignment is west. You speak English not russian, children go to study in West, remittance comes from west, FPI comes from west, startup funding comes west, trade is with west, you have no territorial disputes with west, you have a territorial dispute with russian ally china.

The russia china axis can never replace west. Our actions should take this reality into account.

Agree. I don't know people thinks that west is our enemy, sometimes we even right wing hindu indians think like muslim and consider USA as enemy which is very funny.

Infact, USA in particular amd west as whole is the only good future.

We can never have a good future with Russia or china.

And we slowly and steadily need to aligns with west, China's economy is slowing down and this Cold War will again be won by west(unless west did not collapsed due to increasing diverse people who hates each other).

That's an interesting point and I largely agree, we cannot alienate the west if we want to develop our country but we should voice our concerns globally, we should have enough soft power to do so now, if ukraine can arm an enemy terrorist nation against India, why shouldn't India do the same against them? Either they will give a reasonable explanation which should apply to us as well or they should withdraw support but I guess as long as they don't arm pakistan with high end weaponry, we won't react.

We should offer better deal to Ukraine than pakistan. We have both more money and better talent than Pakistanis.
