Islamic Republic of Pakistan : News, Discussions & Updates

^Again for a country that is going to touch 266 mn people this year...

Barely a quarter of India's per capita electricity consumption, yet they say India is faking GDP and is much more destitute despite being a largely energy-efficient service sector-centric economy 🥹

Don't believe me?

Translates to $2.4 bn after artificially manipulating PKR at 280 for 3 years, ~12 times less per capita than poor Indians, in a country of again, 266 mn biomass that claims services is ~60% of their "GDP". This sector doesn't need much electricity, just like banking and financial services sector, which again I'll update later. Less said about tech and non-tech services, the better.

So... entire banking sector of trillion dolla undocumented economy of paxtan yields a combined revenue of $8-9 billion, and to make it worse, it too is because of artificial manipulation of exchange rates otherwise it would've been below that to $7bn as it was before... Which means the entire BFSI sector makes a gigantic ~$9 to 10bn in revenue in a country of 266 million (biomass). That is 55 to 60 times less than India which fakes GDP and is much poorer than their asian tiger economy of paxtan.

Same banana republic that claims "services" is ~60% of it's GDP, a sector that doesn't consume much electricity as industries do... yet per capita electricity consumption, as mentioned above is now barely a quarter of India. Even then there's an important caveat... their electricity consumption is predominantly residential, so while their per capita electricity consumption might be a quarter of India, their industries are barely consuming 6 times less than Indian industries adjusted for population (per capita).

The new Vedanta aluminium refinery in Odisha alone will consume more electricity than all pakistani industries put together, just for context.

But I was told they're only marginally worse than India, which has more hunger and sem2sem income levels, when reality is their GDP per capita is realistically and visibly not even a quarter of India. If they stop making up GDP out of thin air (informal sector), and manipulating exchange rates.

Please elaborate

Do you believe they can De Radicalise their society
Every Pakistani, That can think on his own (barring little kids and clinically mentally challenged) harbors deep unending hatred towards everything Indian/Hindu/non-Muslim in that order. And then to bring other enemies into the fold they hand out certificate of Shia-Kaffir, Baloch-Gaddar, Afghan-Namakharam.
These are absolute lunatics who would often Cut off their nose to spite their face, Know very well that their army has been sodomizing them since the beginning, but that is a very small price for them to pay, because it reinforces the hope that one day they might destroy Hindustanis. That is the level of hatred among every Pakistani, and I mean every one, cricketers, professors, economists, engineers, government servants, farmers, unemployed folks, house wives, college kids, intellectuals, expats, All of them.
There was a time when I used to think they have some semblance of civility, but its all schadenfreude. I can't tolerate anyone throwing a stone at a dog, so I am the last person to ever wish harm on any civilians no matter how vile they are. With this lot, all we need is to keep progressing, keep developing, and let them burn in their misery.

Adding fuel to the already contentious issue of Imran Khan's health, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) claimed that its founder and former Prime Minister of Pakistan is being secretly moved from jail to a hospital for medical treatment. The party raised concerns over his safety and legal rights.

The party called the reported move a serious violation of fundamental rights and warned that it endangers his life.

In a statement, PTI said it was deeply concerned over reports suggesting authorities might shift Khan for treatment without taking his family into confidence.

“Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf expresses grave concern over reports and speculations suggesting a plan to secretly shift our Leader Imran Khan to a hospital for treatment without taking his family into confidence. Such an act is a blatant violation of both fundamental human rights and prevailing legal requirements,” the party said.

Quite the paradox in your conclusion. If a Good German is a myth how does one explain the run Nazism had ? You could extend it to the Paxtanis except the level of fanaticism is xⁿ.

I could elaborate on the diagnosis & line of treatment but this is a public forum. I'd end with this - this is the land where the Mahabharata was written & the war at Kurukshetra fought.

We can choose to ignore it & invoke Yuddha nahin Buddha at our own peril.

Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) claimed on Sunday that it had taken 17 Pakistani soldiers into custody. It said that 10 of them have been released, while the remaining seven are still being held. The group has given the Pakistan government a one-week deadline to release Baloch fighters in exchange for those detained.

The claim was made in an alleged statement issued by the BLA’s media wing, ‘Hakkal’. There has been no immediate official response from the Pakistan Army or the Government of Pakistan regarding this claim.

BLA spokesperson Jeehand Baloch described the incident as the second phase of “Operation Heroff” in the statement. According to the BLA, the 10 people who were released were Baloch and were linked to the local police. The statement said they were freed after being given a warning.

The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) said that the remaining seven captives are members of regular units of the Pakistan Army. According to its statement, they were presented before an alleged “Baloch National Court”.

The group claimed that the soldiers were accused of actions against civilians, supporting forced disappearances, and involvement in what it described as genocide against the Baloch people.

Statement from AFG regarding the release:

Afghanistan has released three Pakistani soldiers who it had captured during cross-border fighting last October, its government spokesman said Tuesday.

Zabihullah Mujahid said in a statement the three, who had been captured during fighting on Oct. 12, were turned over to a Saudi delegation that mediated between the two sides and had traveled to Kabul on Monday. He said the release was decided upon in light of the start of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting and reflection.

Tension between Afghanistan and neighboring Pakistan has been high since deadly border clashes in October killed dozens of soldiers, civilians and suspected militants, and wounded hundreds more on both sides. The violence erupted after explosions in Kabul, the Afghan capital, on Oct. 9 that the Taliban government blamed on Pakistan and vowed to avenge.

The fighting was the worst between the neighbors in recent years. A ceasefire mediated by Qatar has since eased tension, although subsequent peace talks in Istanbul failed to produce a definitive agreement and relations remain strained.

The Pakistan Air Force carried out airstrikes in Afghanistan's Ghani Khelo and Garda Samia districts, reportedly targeting civilian residential areas. Afghan sources claim that at least 17 civilians were killed, with many more injured. Massive casualties have been reported, raising serious concerns over cross-border escalation and civilian safety.

Someone from the GCC lot will have to intervene again it seems. A lot of noise from PA and their accounts. However, several AFG accounts have already posted pictures/videos of captured check-posts and personnel from border areas.

Gadhanand Dhume got acute stomach ache seeing this video. What made it worse according to him was Paxtani lawmakers & ministers circulating it whom if you haven't guessed all belonged to 1 ethnicity.

Dhume wrote a long diatribe criticising this "racist behavior " on the part of Paxtan & promptly got into equivalence with Hindutva India once Paxtanis spammed his thread with reasoning & arguments only they can come up with .

As some wise crack once commented on Dhume - " Opinions so full of garbage you feel compelled to ignore it, logic so stupid you feel compelled to respond. " or something on those lines .
