Americans love to invade and burn everything to the ashes before they leave.
I don’t even remember the last time they left any country in better shape than the time they invaded it. *censored*ing morons love to lecture everyone else about morality and human rights.

Oh those hypocrites jumped onto taliban camp long time back. They let talis write an oped where they openly made no secret of their plans to destroy humanity and build a glorious system that will make afghanistan a living hell. They have no qualms in legitimizing terrorists.

The Fall of Afghanistan is a " Necessary " lesson to All "WOKE people " and all Left Liberals , who must see that , what happens when there is No Military force to defend and protect a country

Modern Civilization and its Peace and Stability , as it exists today is possible
Only because Nation States are Held Together by Their Militaries and Law Enforcement

Never seen anything like that. A well equipped army crumbled like a tissue paper.
No fighting whatsoever, just surrender, desertion and defection.

WTF is wrong with Afghans and Muslim countries in general? They never fight to defend their home and rush to seek asylum in western countries.

This makes it easy, soon only the Taliban will have armed vehicles, so now we can play them at their own tactics, except no ground troops, just hit them from the air all year, forever, keeping costs down to levels that can be defined as foreign aid.

The ANA was fighting for foreigners. The Taliban were fighting for ummah, jihad and shariat. Two different motivations.
Also the ANA was trained for fighting insurgencies not war. They don't have any war fighting capabilities. ANA is just a overglorified CT unit like CRPF but worse. Also the average afghan is tired of fighting most likely.
Though no difference between the Taliban of today and the Taliban of 2001..

Yes it’s easier to target them now but the question is for what purpose anyone is going to do that?
If the people want to live like medieval times, let them live.
who the f cares.

some say that it’s due to change in recruitment policies of ANSDF by Ghani govt which tried for equal representation of Pashtuns in recent years.
Old guards of Northern Alliance were sidelined or purged and more Pashtuns were given top posts , who were either loyal to or had sympathetic to bunnys, and switched sides as soon as talibs came out of caves.
That’s why even NA warlords were reluctant to fight and simply cut a deal to survive.

I am expecting divide within Taliban for power this time , as it a group of multiple war lords. Secondly talks happened in Doha not in some cave. What are they doing in Doha and under whose protection? ;)

Pakistan. That is simple enough to decipher.

Another angle was that U.S didn't trust the old Soviet Northern Alliance warlords. And your pashtun angle makes sense since Taliban is a pashtun led insurgency. Though the other ethnic groups in rural Afghanistan seem to accept the bunnies.
It's funny how Americans did a worse job on stopping the talibunnies than the less equipped and less advanced Soviets. Technology really can't win you wars if you have such a tone deaf policy.

Most likely a qatar and Pakistan based brokering. Saudis don't seem to be really a player here. Qatar might be calling the shots from behind while the Pakistanis do the dirty job on the ground..
