Explain how Arjun is faulty you ****
I said,i have seen an interview with coas ji sing when he was in office. And it was a DD interview,i cannot provide a link of DD interview which happened some 15 years back.

But again, you will get a glimpse of what IA views on Arjun's initial variant in the following link, including jj Singh's opinion.

And lastly, go and see in what contest I brought Arjun case now.

So you don't believe what army chief are saying? When IAF wants Rafale we all supported them,we shown middle finger towards the media & Raga. But whe IA denied wide spread induction of an under powered behemoth it's a conspiracy?

You didnt produce the statement by army chief. As I have seen your basic IQ, I'm not going to rely on your memory as evidence.

Whatever the issue was, it was with production quality which was long rectified. Multiple CAG, standing committee report has shown this.

The publicity stunts like make in india or athmanirbhar makes few fools happy, thats all. Be practical, no army men feels happy going battle feild with poorly engineered equipment.

Forget about army, will you purchase any indian made items if it faulty?
Yeah, it wouldn't have been 'faulty' if IA didn't have their heads up their as*es.

Also, yeah, investing in self reliance is for fools, let us be at the mercy of foreign powers forever. Reminds me of something @hellbent said:

Only when the slave punishes himself for a mistake after his master is long gone do you know that colonialism worked.

I swear, do you like looking like a fool everyone you post something, or what?

Oh and by the way, Tincan-90 Deathtrap is👇
poorly engineered

Arjun failed not because of its inherent engineering but because the IA lost the requirement of a Nato class tank. It was made for countering Pakistani Abrams that never fructified and Arjun became stillborn. Also for being underpowered arjun does have a superior power to weight ratio than indian t90's and t72's with the mk1a being even better in mobility. The only real weakness being the rifled gun although taking assistance from BAE and developing a tungsten based analogue of the CHARM 3 can solve our problem or we can just import German penetrators for the dm53/63 and make apfsds similar to how the polish do for their pt91's..

It doesn't have enough ERA cover and its lower glacis is very exposed, putting the crew at risk. It's gunner sight position is also a weakness.

But most of these problems are solved on Mk.1A because of the addition of soft-kill APS. And laterally, it can tank some shots (pun intended) except for the back of the turret. But according to an acquaintance in the army, the RHA cover+ ERA combo on Arjun is good enough to protect the crew and damaged parts can be replaced easily. Plus, it is kind of crude, overall.

The era cover atleast on the mk1a is decent but they somehow still couldn't cover the mantlet and sight area which has been done even by the Turks and German on their 2a4's. That area should be not a complex engineering problem considering the amount of money IA is wasting to buy it.
I do agree that the hull and turret both need major redesign 2a4 became outdated in 1980's itself. In a sense the design is outdated but due to the electronics it is still pretty formidable. The dark horse remain the Kanchan armour since the variant of kanchan has been upgraded heavily and is very dense composite. I do hope they atleast upgrade the rest of the mk1 to mk1a standard and they figure out some way to cover the mantlet gunners sight and glacis.

Something like this upgrade by a Swiss company RUAG for their 2a4. You can even see a sheild on the sight which means the sight won't be useless even if it gets targeted unlike the German or Turkish upgraded variant. Though they have a similar armour package..
I feel Kanchan is the dark horse which will prove itself if the ever Arjun faces combat..

You are no one evaluate some one's IQ,any way I don't want to go deep in to that. I will not believe some stupid media reports or few defence forum members who pretends to know more than our military aka the end user of military gears.
IA denied Arjun mk1 and just inducted mere 118 ,and who said that Arjun program fases only production quality related issues? If that's the case we will not ask for 60+ improvement.

And the link I shown itself says what IA cheifs thinks about Arjun Tank. If you still wants to be in dream world, well it's your choice. But that won't't change the fact.

Oh, i can judge.

The army chief said no such thing. You are also giving me this "stupid media" report which doesn't even say what you claim. So why don't you shut up?

Else give the actual quote from the chief or use your 'high' IQ and logical reasoning to point out how is it an inferior tank.

Ignore bro. He clearly does not know what he is talking about.

@Hydra let me explain something. Arjun meets the IA GSQR 100%. Even Mk.1A. So, the reason Arjun is sub-par is because the idiot who wrote the GSQR had his head up in the clouds. It doesn't have snorkel to operate underwater, no ERA cover in the back and other flaws because IA did not care to point these out to DRDO, who adhered to the GSQR.

And IA is full of important dalals. What the hell were they doing during testing?? Didn't care to help in the development one bit. They don't want it to succeed. You're making yourself look stupider with each post. Learn all the facts first and then come and argue.

Actually that GSQR was in response to rumors of Pakistani's getting the Abrams. Dalals did the rest of it.

Hi, i believe it is long due we start discussing some of the rising A&D companies in the Indian industry- the runway for them is just about starting given the localization of defence manufacturing. Some of these companies are already doing some good work in this space and I believe there is not an audience who talks about these developments and achievements in greater detail. More so, given the recent spate of companies trying to get listed in the public markets just gives that confidence that these companies are now coming off age. Im attaching a screenshot which in brief describes these companies - the list is never exhaustive, we can keep adding names and discussing case studies so that the readers get to know more about whats happening on ground and how these companies are shaping the future of our industry

could you please elaborate on this image? i believe its the landing gear for?
No Idea. Looks like a UAV in final stages of development. Design looks new and interesting so I posted it here.
And guessing by the small space and modest toolings it’s some startup company
Edit: Some say it’s Newspace India Limited (public sector company)with HAL
@hellbent can tell us better as it’s his post

@randomradio don’t you think it’s Loyal wingmen ?

this is being developed by Newspace Technologies..under the CATS program of HAL..

I have one question for our respected boarders here, how many of you are aware that the Uttam radar is also being developed by the private sector?
