This is similar to what was told in one previous Q meeting , that a lot of more emergency procurement were under processing at MoD, around 70-80 at that time.
The way Poland is arming itself, I was expecting the same for the Indian Army after the Galwan clash. Inducting APC, IFV, tanks, gunships, helicopters and missiles in large numbers. But reality can often be disappointing. Sad affairs of our bureucary and import lobby.
Unlike Poland, we were armed enough to face china. What we need is continuous modernization of what we already have not expansion. We do not have any desperation.
Poland is importing everything. Our design and developed systems take time to mature thus we can't just order everything in one go as Poland is doing.
