India - Israel Relations : News and Updates

Problem with Rudram 3 & israrli ABMs are, currently MKI is capable of carrying in to battlefield. MKI, ii don't think we will be using beyond 2040 as a spearhead platform due to its age.
Hope we will pursue a bomber platform to carry these weapons in future.
Mki is going to be used till 2060. So it's important we need an inventory of 350-500 mki's capable to carry these missiles.

I am not telling that we will retire MKI by 2040. By 2040, newest MKI will be almost 20 year old and oldest one will be 35-40 year old. Its similar to the existing Mig29. We all know what is mig29 today. MKI will be a second tier aircraft in IAF beyond 2040, the spear heads will be Rafale, MK2 and probably AMCA.

MKI haven't reached the end of its upgradable limit. It will remain the spearhead until a 5th gen aircraft is available.
It's obvious that MKI would continue to receive newer system much before either Rafale or MK2. While there will be integration limits with Rafale and SWAP limitations with MK2, no such thing with MKI.
The prospect of receiving a 0.9m antenna GaN-based radar alone would be mouthwatering. Combine that with indigenous wing-mounted pods working alongside the radar, an EA/EW ability no Rafale can match.

On Wednesday, the Prime Minister of India, my friend Narendra Modi, will arrive in Israel. In the vision I see before my eyes, we will create a complete system of alliances around or within the Middle East. An axis of countries that see reality, the challenges, and the goals with one eye, facing the radical axes," Netanyahu said at the opening of a government meeting.

Netanyahu says that Israel “will create an entire system — essentially a kind of hexagon of alliances — around or within the Middle East," listing India, Greece, Cyprus, and unnamed Arab, African and Asian countries.

“The intention here is to create an axis of countries that see reality, the challenges, and the goals in the same way, in contrast to the radical axes," he said. “Both the radical Shiite axis, which we have hit very hard, and also the emerging axis — the radical Sunni axis. All these countries share a different outlook, and cooperation between us can yield very great fruits and, of course, also ensure our strength and our future."

The IAF is also replacing a whole bunch of avionics on the MKI like the Israeli ElOp 967 HUD and the outdated Russian Sura-K HMS.

Remains to be seen if they go for Yahudi kit like Elbit digital HUD + Targo-II again. Ofcourse, Litening-G4i is a given for LDP and Reccelite + EL/M-2060P recon pods will likely continue to be used too.su-30mki__hal.jpg
