Hindu baiting masquerading as Brahmin baiting in all spheres of life is basically the prime trait of being seen as secular . The more the bashing the deeper the shade of secularism .

I don't care! Let all my Bharatis come back, what are we? God's Forsaken Children? N0 WE ARE N0T. But i lose interest beyond your petty things!

CANADA is feeling it back! LOL Khalistan in Alaska and Quebec!
Even Bay Area has plenty of Khalistani supporters. When Modi visited San Jose, a bunch of those protested outside the arena. I had a manager who proudly declared himself as a sympathiser.

WhatsApp Offers $50,000 to Those Helping Tackle Fake News Menace in India

After being rebuked by the Indian government for its failure to curb fake news in its platform, social media giant WhatsApp has offered $50,000 to anyone who can come forward and render help to tackle the fake news menace in India which has unleashed a series of mob lynching in the recent past.

New Delhi (Sputnik) — WhatsApp's offer is in the form of a research grant to social scientists to help combat the spread of "misinformation." The free Smartphone app, one of the most widely used messaging platforms in India, was rapped by the government of India earlier this week for not being able to restrain fake news going viral.

WhatsApp, owned by Facebook, is offering up to $50,000 for proposals that "foster insights into the impact of technology on contemporary society in this problem space including election-related content, digital literacy and detection of problematic behavior within encrypted systems," the company's letter to the government of India accessed by the local media.

India is the largest market for WhatsApp with over 200 million users in the country.

"The abuse of platforms like WhatsApp for repeated circulation of such provocative content is a matter of deep concern," the government of India said in a release on Monday.

Deep disapproval of such developments has been conveyed to WhatsApp's senior management and they have been advised that necessary remedial measures should be taken to prevent the proliferation of these fake news stories and at times motivated/sensational messages, it added.

WhatsApp, in a response letter to the ministry, said it is "horrified by these terrible acts of violence" and that "false news, misinformation and spread of hoaxes are issues best tackled collectively by government, civil society and technology companies working together."

In India, we have only two institutions which are self governed or rather ungoverned. Both these institutes claim themselves to be the defenders of of Indian constitution but there is no one more corrupt and biased than these two institutions.

Well it seems to be because of alleging his father as "Certifiable Traitor" while posting the article of his father's opposition to Nuclear Tests. His father had his own views, that doesn't mean he was a Certifiable traitor, that is uncalled for imo.. Given he was talking to officials in South Africa, he could be deemed incompetent but calling a deceased individual Certifiable Traitor, i dont see the need to do so. IK Jujral himself did much larger harm to Indian interests, no one ever refers to him as a certifiable traitor.

A serving ambassador certainly can't take a stance in opposition to his own government . More so , if he actually colludes with the SA officials in denouncing the N tests in the then upcoming NAM summit . That's exactly what LC Jain did . If he disagreed with the GoI's position , he should've resigned his post .

National Security Advisor Brajesh Mishra was reportedly of the opinion that Jain had not effectively defended India’s decision to conduct the Pokhran II tests, with reporters like KP Nayar arguing that Jain was against the idea and had communicated this to the South African government. Jain’s memoirs, however, tell a different story. According to him, he had not expressed any opposition to the tests to the South Africans, and this perception arose mistakenly after an appearance by him on South African TV network just after the news broke. After the Pakistani High Commissioner claimed the tests were a major threat to Pakistan, Jain was asked how he, as a Gandhian (he had fought in the freedom struggle and had espoused Gandhian ideals during his subsequent work as well, winning the Magsaysay Award in 1989), reacted to the tests.

Jain replied that Gandhian or not, “nobody in the world can be comfortable with a nuclear device.” According to him, it was this statement that earned the ire of Mishra, who felt he shouldn’t have said this and so asked for him to be recalled. This took place even though Jain went on to argue in the same interview why it was necessary for India to have nuclear weapons – to give Indian citizens confidence that the government could keep them safe

Sreenivasan Jain Sends Legal Notice Over ‘Certifiable Traitor’ Slur Against Father LC Jain

This is just me, but to me it sound unreasonable to label a Freedom Fighter Gandhian who was involved in Quit India Movement as a Certified Traitor. It's uncalled for.

That's an individual's opinion . Though , I doubt whether it can stand the test of defamation . But the penalty for defamation in our nation is so weak , given the law , he'd get what amounts to a slap on the wrist by the courts .

My point is who made this guy an agency to certify treachery or patriotism. What is this certifying business, that too to a freedom fighter? This business of maligning people with differing viewpoints and calling them traitor is a slippery slope.

I'd say it was done with an intention to provoke Sreenivasan Jain and it found its mark. After all S Jain is also a one man certifying agency among so many others in his profession on what constitutes nationalism , secularism and other isms.

Happens in Aligarh, not surprised. But after Yogi some 'peaceful' gangsters are killed, one bahubali was killed by a street vendor and Aligarh was on boil for good sometime.

A reset is happening in most cities of UP where goons ans bahubali of different castes, religion are taken to cleaners. There is no media report but people on ground feel it very well.

So is this going to be reflected in the Lok Sabha elections? Or is BJP still looking at huge losses in terms of seats as you had mentioned earlier? And overall, how has Yogi's administration been?
