French Navy upgrade and discussion

@Sathya namaskar (‘cause i Forgot in my Previous post) and Namaskar to all of you.

Other infos dated 23.07:

The French authorities have been doing cybercriminals a disservice lately! [want to say « are Harming ´em »]

New victory ✌🏽 with the arrest of the "administrator"—read: the mastermind—of the other Russian "Amazon of cybercrime"!

As a reminder, this forum existed for over 12 years—since 2013—and contained firsthand information about cybercrime!

According to the authorities, the arrested suspect, who has been very active in cybercrime for nearly 20 years, allegedly pocketed the tidy sum of €7 million.
He was arrested in Ukraine, four years after the investigation began!

Note that since this afternoon, the site is no longer accessible on the clearnet—read: the normal internet—but remains (for the time being) accessible on its darkweb version.

Cyber-yours,

A recap of the alleged NG hack:

Naval Group, a destabilization operation underway?

Two weeks ago, NoName057 (no introduction needed), a pro-Russian hacktivist group known for its DDOS attacks, already claimed, before its partial dismantling, to have infiltrated "the internal perimeter of Naval Group."

They mentioned the assistance of "volunteers" with whom "interesting data" had been recovered before being shared with "relevant/appropriate third parties." without making any mention of the nature of this data or even accompanying this claim with a screenshot in the absence of samples...

This first claim made on Telegram was a flop.

A week later, between July 14 and 17, a large-scale operation, led by authorities from several countries, including France, put a serious stop to the activities of the hacker collective NoName057(16).

Another week later, we find the "same" claim, from a cybercriminal who had created his account a little earlier on the "Amazon of cybercrime," with more details on the alleged cyberattack on Naval Group, a 13GB sample of data, and, above all, a 72-hour ultimatum...

The modus operandi, the timeline, and many other questions arise... are surprising.
A destabilization operation targeting France through its flagship maritime defense? A false flag operation by a competitor or a government following the group's latest contracts? ...

Also, always take a step back, know how to cross-reference sources, and avoid letting your narrative dictate!

The Admiral Ronarc’h frigate is the first of five FDIs ordered by the French Navy. The vessel reinforces the surface fleet in accordance with the 2024-2030 Military Planning Law. It is a 4,500-ton first-rank surface combatant. It features high-performance systems in all areas of warfare (air, surface, and submarine), is capable of deploying a multirole helicopter, and can deploy special forces. Equipped with powerful communications and data link capabilities, it can easily integrate into a French or allied naval force.

On September 26, 2025, the French Defense Procurement and Technology Agency (DGA) placed an order with Dassault Aviation for five Falcon 2000 Albatros aircraft as part of the Maritime Surveillance and Intervention Aircraft (AVSIMAR) program. A total of twelve aircraft are planned under this program, of which seven were previously ordered in December 2020. Dassault Aviation, together with the many French companies contributing to the Falcon programs, would like to thank the French Ministry for the Armed Forces, the French Navy and DGA for their confidence.

Will Italy beat France's PANG?

Cool looking design for sure.
Imo.
If its supposed to be nuclear powered then they should cooperate with france.

Maybe we can also join with 2 carrier requirements, as construction to begin from ~2030 and service joining in ~2040.

Bringing total carriers constructed to 4 pang class.

Japan or SK can also be invited.

It seems Italy wants SSN, and maybe nuc carrier....
They don't have any nuc industry civilian or military (destroyed in the 80's following a referendum). The sole in the west to be competent in subs and carriers are the US and France. Even the GB Subs are all made of a big US know how and components. I dream of an french & italian initiative...

"La décision a été prise cette semaine": Emmanuel Macron confirme le lancement du futur porte-avions pour la marine française

"The decision was made this week": Emmanuel Macron confirms the launch of the future aircraft carrier for the French Navy
The President of the Republic announced the start of development and construction work on the future aircraft carrier for the French Navy.
There will indeed be a new-generation aircraft carrier. Addressing the armed forces stationed in the United Arab Emirates, President Emmanuel Macron officially launched the construction of the future aircraft carrier for the French Navy, which will replace the current Charles de Gaulle in the late 2030s.

"In accordance with the last two military programming laws and after a thorough and careful review, I have decided to equip France with a new aircraft carrier. The decision to launch this major program was made this week," declared Emmanuel Macron.

This new aircraft carrier "will be an illustration of the power of our nation, the power of industry and technology," he added.

He also indicated that he would personally visit the Chantiers de l'Atlantique shipyard in St Nazaire next February. This program will "boost our economy and the 800 suppliers, 80% of whom are SMEs," the president stated. The 2025 draft budget includes commitments of €10.2 billion over several years to support the development and construction of the aircraft carrier.

This announcement comes after several years of studies (launched in 2019) and discussions, both technical and financial. Naval Group and Chantiers de l'Atlantique will be the prime contractors. TechnicAtome is responsible for the work on the two K22 nuclear reactors that will power this giant of the seas.

The future aircraft carrier will be longer and wider than the current one, the Charles de Gaulle: while the latter measures 260 meters long and 64 meters wide, the dimensions of the future flagship are listed at 310 meters long and 85 meters wide.

The "PA NG" will also accommodate... The Rafale Marine will be upgraded to the next F5 standard, as will the future combat aircraft (the SCAF), and drones. One of the innovations of the next aircraft carrier is the integration of electromagnetic catapults (which allow aircraft to take off): in place of steam catapults, EMALS (electromagnetic aircraft launch systems) will be less bulky and the launch power of the aircraft will be even more precise.

This deployment is intended to test the ship’s military capabilities. The FDI will be deployed in the North Sea, the North Atlantic, and the Mediterranean Sea.
