Foreign intelligence's activities in India discussion thread

Are we aware that CIA operates in India without immunity in India?. Two decades back, it spirited out an Indian RAW agent and did it without immunity. Today they are unashamedly prosecuting a low level Indian operative for attempted murder when it was an attempt and no harm done. Also the U.S. operatives, who snared an unwitting low level dealer in Czech Republic were in fact US agents searching for an excuse not to prosecute that low level agent but in fact India for buying cheap oil from Russia and not supporting US in Ukraine war.

My opinion is that unpleasantness created by US in Indo-US relations with prosecution of an India citizen on a mere trifle will fly well with the American public. They are being fed anti Russia propaganda and this is another issue for American media to write about. My guess is that the prosecution will fail or they could send the person to jail, although no harm done.

India could ask for transfer of two 26/11 accused in American protective custody in jails with all benefits. I am sure America will refuse, then silently India can conduct Agni -6 test with 10,000 miles range which America has prevented for long time.

That will be good reply for American actions.

Diplomatic and Political Decision Making in Washington

In Washington, D.C., think tanks play a crucial role in shaping the decision-making process of the U.S. government. These organizations significantly influence political and diplomatic decisions by providing expertise and recommendations that guide policy development.

Many critical political and diplomatic decisions originate in these think tanks, which are funded by government grants and private funds from corporations. Policymakers turn to them for independent assessments and policy advice.

The origins of think tanks date back to World War II, when the U.S. government sought expertise from non-government individuals to collaborate with military and diplomatic staff. This approach led to the establishment of independently managed institutions dedicated to advising on various policy matters. Since then, other countries have adopted this model.

Prominent US think tanks include the Carnegie Endowment, Brookings Institution, Rand Corporation, Georgetown Foreign Policy Academy, PEW Research, and Hudson Institute. There are over 40 think tanks in Washington, D.C., each specializing in its own research area.

One notable figure in the think tank sphere was Madeleine Albright, Secretary of State during the Clinton Administration. A staunch anti-communist and Czech-born immigrant, Albright excelled in foreign policy, ranking alongside intellectuals like Henry Kissinger and Zbigniew Brzezinski. She shaped the anti-communist views of many presidential candidates.

Albright's significant impact came with the breakup of Yugoslavia after Marshal Tito’s death. As a principal advisor, she played a key role in the Serb-Croatian-Muslim Yugoslavian war, which led to American involvement to dismantle the Yugoslav state. This intervention succeeded in the 1990s largely because Boris Yeltsin, a less formidable leader, led the disintegrating Soviet Union. A leader like Putin of today might have acted differently.

After leaving her position, Albright continued her association with think tanks, training thousands of foreign policy operatives for decades until her death in 2022. Her training focused on anti-communism and anti-Russia sentiments, framing anyone associated with Russia as an enemy of America.

Many of Albright's anti-communist pupils now hold key positions in the U.S. State Department. Current American diplomacy shows parallels to the Yugoslav breakup, such as encouraging Khalistani terrorists asking for an independent homeland and also encouraging the creation of a Christian state involving parts of Bangladesh, Myanmar, and tiny area of India. This strategy aims to destabilize South Asia if it remains neutral in the Ukraine war or continues buying cheap oil from Russia.

However, formidable leaders in India and Bangladesh today present a challenge for American policy advisors, as they are capable of handling political and military unrest. Hence parallel to Yugoslavia policy is impossible to implement, however they are trying from their desks in Washington, interchangeable with US government offices or think tanks.

These are the complex ways America engages with its allies & friends, with think tanks playing a leading role. However I guarantee none of them have seen the actual locations to intelligently execute their policies.

Madeline albright & Robin Raphael helped create hurriyat, Victoria nuland came to India had meetings with other than officials . Both of them created serious trouble in India. There is no need for them to physically visit the location when ppl from embassy can do the job or they can make the ppl travel to US.

Amid escalating tensions with Haryana over water sharing, all parties in Punjab came together on Friday to reject the Bhakra Beas Management Boards’s (BBMB’s) decision to release an extra 4,500 cusecs of water to Haryana.

“All parties have unanimously decided to rise above party lines and stand with Punjab,” Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said in a press conference after the meeting which was attended by AAP, Congress, Akali Dal, BJP, and BSP. The state BJP chief Sunil Jakhar said that “Punjab does not have a single drop to spare”.

The current crisis

The latest stand-off began on April 23, when Haryana sought 8,500 cusecs of water from the Bhakra-Nangal project — 4,500 cusecs more than what it is currently receiving. Punjab CM Mann refused, putting the ball in the court of the BBMP.

So timing of this water dispute escalating raises an eyebrow. One side IWT is suspended by central government and suddenly there is a state vs state in India. Pakistan has activated it's moles in Indian politics or what?

India only has 4 years before new elections come, all the things with Pakistan need to be sort out before the end of 4 years, because then no one knows who becomes the PM. There will external powers who will not want a strong leader in India after India showed this potential in defence.

in my opinion

1. Expect Pakistan to collaborate with masters of narco terrorism to expand their footprint in India, could reactivate under world ( new faction ). Govt should collaborate more with other countries for better monitoring of this 'narco nuclear state'

2. All the academic institutions and research institutions must start screening of their employees 24x7

3. Private firms involved in defence projects must have increased surveillance on the employees

This is how Pakistan army controls psychology of a segment of it's population, this is why their questioning capability has been degraded and the Pakistani population is easily fooled by their Pakistani generals through ISPR. A huge segment of Pakistan's population is prisoner of Pakistan army's narco-politics and slavery.

UNODC-2024 Report suggests that a significant portion of Pakistan’s informal economy — estimated at over 36% of GDP — may be fueled by illicit trades including narcotics.

Meth production offers high profit margins with relatively low initial investment compared to traditional opiates. Winston’s research warns that as synthetic drugs like meth proliferate, criminal networks will “deepen their global reach,” posing new security threats far beyond Pakistan’s borders.

Meanwhile, disturbing social trends have emerged among incarcerated Pakistanis in the Gulf.
As regional trafficking routes shift and Gulf states grapple with the influx of narcotics, policymakers across the Middle East increasingly view Pakistan’s internal struggles with organized crime as a shared security threat — one that cannot be contained by national borders alone.

Pakistani traffickers in the Kingdom offered religious justifications for their crimes. Zahack wrote, “Shockingly, some of them justify their actions by arguing that Islam only forbids alcohol, not narcotics”.

India espionage crackdown: Extensive ISI spy network uncovered, 12 arrested so far

Indian security agencies have dismantled a Pakistan-backed espionage network operating across multiple states. Numerous individuals, including a businessman, a YouTuber, and a student, have been arrested for allegedly spying and aiding enemy operations. The network utilized mobile apps and jail inmates to gather and transmit sensitive information, with some individuals receiving monetary compensation for their activities.

Source: Proxy Warfare 2.0: Pakistan's ISI Shifts To New-Age Militant Fronts In Jammu & Kashmir

The transformation is not coincidental it is a calculated move by Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) to replace legacy terrorist outfits with newly-formed proxy militant groups that mask their origin, enabling Islamabad to maintain plausible deniability under growing international scrutiny.

According to intelligence dossiers reviewed by top security agencies, these new-age terror fronts, over two dozen formed between 2019 and 2021, have been designed to obscure their ties to Pakistan-based tanzeems such as Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), and Hizbul Mujahideen (HM). They mimic local resistance movements, using secular and socio-political messaging to mislead both the international community and the conflict-weary Kashmiri population.

These outfits, including The Resistance Front (TRF), People’s Anti-Fascist Front (PAFF), and Kashmir Tigers (KT), among others, portray themselves as grassroots movements, deliberately distancing their public image from Pakistan-based jihadist entities. Their messaging has also evolved, replacing Islamist rhetoric with secular, anti-establishment language aimed at garnering sympathy among global audiences.
