The *next attack* has most likely happened. New Delhi, near Red fort.
So, now expect a preemptive strike by Pakistan.
No casualties reported. Besides area surrounding Red Fort is mostly a peaceful dominated area. Prima facie it looks like a botched attempt.
However this is a developing story . Can't jump the gun . Let's wait to hear more .
1 confirmed death. What I am hearing is the explosion happened near a metro station gate. Let's wait for official confirmation. If you look at the ANI video, it is pretty telling though.
Side note, an explosion in Delhi the same day when 2.9 tonnes of explosive has been recovered in the country doesn't look like a coincidence.
I think the count is being gagged. Looking at the destruction there is going to be a double digit number.
It was a very big explosion. And the site is cordoned off very quickly.
No it isn't. All the more reason to suspect that since a good number of these cells were busted the remaining ones panicked & prosecuted their task without much preparations.
It can't be the case that you go make such meticulous plans only to exact all of 1 fatality. Having said that let me issue a disclaimer - I'm going only by the extant news at hand.
It was a twin car blast, so who ever did it didn’t give GOI an off ramp to declare it as an accident.
If this is proved to be a terrorist attack , that gives is the casus belli we were looking for. Now let's see if 56" has what it takes to do what many including myself think he should've done in May itself.
In a statement, the medical superintendent of Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narayan (LNJP) Hospital told news agency ANI that 15 people were brought to the hospital following the blast."Eight of them died before reaching the hospital. Three are seriously injured. One is in stable condition," the medical superintendent said.
It's very much possible that the arrest of terror module in Haryana caused the rest of the associates to go on attack before they are caught. Let, JeM, ISKP all have experiance building bombs from Ammonium Nitrate. It wouldn't be dificult to smuggle few dozen kg from Haryana to Delhi.

This is the most likely case. If the blast was caused by IED or other means, there is a high probability that multiple cities were to be targeted. Let's wait for the Delhi Police to issue statement(s).
