News Diego home, Garcia: UN court rules that Chagos belongs to Mauritius

How many times can a sun set on one empire exactly ? Welcome to 70+ years ago.

The UK and US still retain control of the military base under the deal and China is barred from setting up shop in the area as part of the deal. That was literally the only purpose of BIOT.
News flash for you, it's not us who is saying this, it's your own people!🤣

We are just enjoying the circus from UK on twitter & social media...

Where in the article did you see the Government of Mauritius committing not to host the Chinese Paddy ?

You can bet your non existent testicles that the Chinese would already be present in Mauritius with an offer the latter can't refuse & before you can bat your eyelids they'd be busy constructing a base out there in the Chagos within spitting distance of Diago Garcia hosting an aircraft carrier armada whereas you're reduced to sending an OPV to keep them company.

Sounds like fun ! You could send that sterling example of British engineering the Prince of Wales there & if it conks off as ie likely to happen , you could abandon ship right there , wait for it to become a coral & viola you'd have your island base & floating carrier too.

Besides what's with the triumphalism ? A few years back you were singing a different tune out here . What's changed now ? HMG's saw the light . Or is UK in no position to throw it's weight around any longer ?

Tsk Tsk how the mighty have fallen !

The proverbial "London Bridge" continues to fall down even further, lol.
And yet it still stands:

Further proof English is Paddy's second language.

Rajput Lion comes up with a metaphor , Paddy's taken it literally. This is precisely the reason I noted early on in my first interactions with Paddy that the IQ of the conversation drops rapidly when one's engaging him . Consistently. Irrespective of whomsoever it is engaging him .

Go and tell that to T.S. Eliot, lol🤣
You ought to be really grateful he didn't come back with T S Eliot who ?

Quoting poetry to Paddy is like reading philosophy to a donkey with due apologies to a donkey. The donkey may even appreciate you if not for the philosophy then for the fact you took out time to read to it. However you'd enjoy no such luck with Paddy.

It's mighty strange when you think of it but Shaw , Joyce , Pound , Wilde, etc were all Paddys to a man , with bodies of work which rank among the finest in the whole corpus of English literature.

Then we've Paddy here who's more in keeping with 99.999999% of his ethnicity proving that those personalities named above were exceptions to the rule with the rule being Paddys are menials & the metaphor you used is essentially a classic case of Pearls before swine.

Don't forget Yeats and Swift. Two of the greatest Irish poet/writers of all-time. They were all critical of British imperialism and their subjugation of Irish people. And here we have a "Green Forest" known as @BMD who's in love with neo-Anglo imperialism, lmfao🤣

Neo-Anglo imperialism? Care to explain?

What do you think this thread is all about you fool ? Your folks's nuptials with you as the best man or your menopause 30 years ago ? Imagine questioning what's Neo Anglo Imperialism on a thread about Neo Anglo Imperialism !

It takes a special kind of stupid to deploy logic like that. Then you get mighty cheesed off when I bring up your lineage & its linkage to hereditary stupidity.

Another glorious example of what I stated just a couple of posts ago - that the IQ level of any conversation drops rapidly when engaging Paddy.

It's really strange that he didn't get neo-Anglo imperialism despite batting for it all across the forum, lmao🤣

Why should we care what Russia & other European countries do with each other.

We have a lot on our own plate, why go looking for trouble everywhere...
So ignore what's inconvenient to your narrative.
