Air Engagement of Operation Sindoor : Analysis

So noticed the unescorted strike package part there, and people wonder why no use of aam from our end? A jet that is given a quick strike role will never be loaded with extra bvr articles because that is detrimental to the primary mission. Jet should carry only the necessary stores. The escort is tasked with countering enemy jets role and it may or may not have bvr either. If Rafale or Mirage or even jags were used, those would not have carried a very long range aam in this specific case.

IAF takes many such high risk missions that plenty of western pilots would dare never attempt or give such roles to expendable partner country pilots.
The air exercise accident with Su30 and mirage where they were practicing engagement/dogfight that was very very rough even for a war scenerio let alone be a training routine. This roughness is necessary for how they operate.

No rafale lost, its for the d!ck heads in this forums who believes pak propaganda.

Wow. First time I saw someone calling themselves dheads publicly 😂😂..
US=Pak propoganda. US ain't the flag bearer of truth.

Its a report that they can frame as they like with half truths, to be out in public domain. They could've done it earlier but they waited till election results since the pressure was of no consequence now.

The engagements between the Pakistani Air Force and the Indian Air Force during Operation Sindoor in May 2025 provided useful, albeit incomplete, insight into the capabilities of PLAAF missiles and aircraft compared to their Western and Russian counterparts. During a series of long range engagements, at least one Indian Rafale was shot down, along with a Su-30MKI, and potentially two to three other Indian fighters. Pakistani officials claimed that the PL-15E (E standing for ‘Export’ version) missile that hit the Rafale was fired from 200 km away. Regardless of the exact figures, several relatively advanced Indian Air Force fighters were hit by PL-15E missiles fired by J-10CE fighters in their first ever combat engagement at unprecedented distances.

RUSI is typically so well researches so it is disappointing that:
1. It only seems to present the Chinese/Pak claims of 5 fighter losses but not the Indian claims of 2-3 losses.
2. The paper also mentions HQ-9Bs but says nothing about Indias supremacy in this instance.

🤷‍♂️
