SAMHO/CLGM has completely gone off the radar, no?

The missile was supposed to equip the Arjun Mk1A as a gun-launched anti-armour weapon with over 5 km range. It was the preferred choice over the Israeli LAHAT which was trialed in India some years back.

There was even a tripod mounted infantry variant but that too seems to be going nowhere.

Its likely only Arjun specific version so far, hence obvious less priority as a project. Its test was 2 years ago probably, maybe 3 but given small batch size for a small batch of active Arjuns not a surprise to be seen nowhere at present. Right now even the regular priority projects are delayed due to emergency procurement product support. You can see how tests keep getting rescheduled. Due to emergency buying, Invar gets order as T90s are more nos available, frontline tank.
More concern should be with what is the status with the existing ordered Arjun batch that got into the powerpack issue with MTU. Once that batch is inducted there would be scope for CLGM for tests, clearance & finally small LSP. But it is 10+ years away probably.

Perhaps DRDO will develop a 105mm CLGM variant for use from the new turret it is developing for Zorawar. I doubt the twin Nag Mk2s mounted externally would be enough in combat conditions.

An air launched variant would likely be cheaper than IIR- guided ULPGM et all for drones and even attack helos. A desi Hellfire lite.

So far the ATGM-LWT is pretty much Nag variant fitted outside, no gun barrel launch. They are probably making a 105mm fsapds shot, so maybe there is future scope. Until the gun barrel is proven and used, there is no way of being sure such an option would exist specifically as the light tank is rather small and have less space inside for ammo. So how much feasible for a cannon launched I do not know.

For dnones they have that MPATGM variant fitted on SR-UAV under test. No chance any weapon system would be able to beat ULPGM V3 by cost. That is probably the smallest anti armour smart autonomous pgm we have. If a v4 or more evolve happens, the gap will be even narrow. IIR seeker is mandatory in anti armour role for any new made missile per the army.

Hope the DRDO turret for Zorawar features a compact pop-up ATGM launcher instead of the external one. Even better if they can make the turret crewless based on work already being done for FICV/AAP. It will keep the weight down.

Btw yesterday saw ARDE ordered for 10 containers for LR-AShM , most likely for the warhead/warhead empty casing. So that project definitely in fast mode since its a mission mode deliverable WCS. That is all part of it, the MLS, canister, control vehicle, everything need to be ready in a time bound manner. Main difference between Rudrams and this is the Rudrams need to prove for air launch which is very very tricky and critical both from providing initial navigation command input to safe release etc. LR in that case is just ground launched from static position. When a weapon system is air launched there needs to be a master-slave combination of INS IMU control because the fighter jet is flying at high speed, initial location coordinate/INS initiation is very critical for input otherwise it will lead to huge error in terminal phase if no seeker.

IIR seeker on a micro missile ? Might as well shoot diamonds which will be cheaper.

One thing more, the aft end ie the back looks very similar to the RCI made Bhaumi above , so wonder if Bhaumi is also a powered guided weapon in same category with miniaturized seeker and guidance option by drdo, esp as we know RCI has been developing various bldc pmsm motors for different actuation systems as well as turbojet type motor for nasm class weapon. So by weight category it can definitely be applicable to a 500kg class powered munition? Nasm weighs some 400kg so can easily fit ?
