Pakistan Armed Forces - News & Discussions

Military equipment of Pakistan, military parade on March 23. A military parade marking the anniversary of Pakistan Day was held in Islamabad on March 23. The Azerbaijani military also took part in the military parade in Pakistan. The national holiday commemorates the date of adoption of the Lahore Resolution on March 23, 1940 and the first constitution on March 23, 1956. On this day, the British Dominion of Pakistan was proclaimed the Federal Islamic Republic of Pakistan, becoming the world's first Muslim country with a republican form of government. The military parade is part of the National Day celebrations. At the parade you could see Haider tanks, this is a modified version of the Chinese VT-4 tank, since 2023 they have already been assembled in Pakistan. Also Chinese VT-4 tanks, which are considered one of the implementation options for the Russian T-14 Armata tank. Pakistani mobile launchers with Fatah-1 and Fatah-2 missiles. The Chinese long-range air defense system Hongqi-9A/P and Hongqi-9BE, also called the HQ-9 air defense system, is an analogue of the Russian S-300 air defense system. Shahin-2 ballistic missiles, Ghauri-I missiles, Shahin-3 missiles and new Ababeel missiles. As well as other military equipment of Pakistan.

The Russian-Pakistani tactical exercise "Friendship-2024" has begun in Pakistan at the Pabbi National Anti-Terrorist Center. The Russian side is represented by servicemen of the motorized rifle unit of the Southern Military District from the Volgograd Region. They arrived the day before on an Il-76 aircraft. Servicemen from both countries will have to practice interaction when performing tasks in mountainous terrain. They will practice the destruction of illegal armed groups, conducting reconnaissance and search operations, and reconnaissance and ambush operations. The exercises are aimed at strengthening and developing military cooperation between the two countries.

Damn. Looks like they will order lots of conventional missiles from China soon. India needs to expedite Kusha, BMD Phase 2 and our own rocket force.
We will bleed money. Our options are
1)Do a preemptive attack before that. Finish that cancerous country in such a way that they dont have direct land connection to Aksaichin and no sea acces.
2)Orded hell amount of ciws type artillery along with mechanized columns & around key installations also induct kusha, bmd to supplement that.

What about high powered laser systems? Can they Neutralise the rockets?

Noteworthy point, PLA nor PLAN uses HD-1. The company that makes this missile is not a weapons maker it is a mining company : Guangdong Hongda Mining Company. HD-1 is their only widely advertised product. They claim to have tested it in 2018 or 19. Pakistan based GDIS is advertising it as one of its products. Its range, effectiveness etc is unknown.

Pakistan already imports and operates CM-302 for ships. Which is export variant of YJ-12, Chinese implementation of Russian Kh-31, giving it a supersonic anti-ship missile.

This is not the first time. GIDS have made claims about producing A2A missiles : FAAZ-1 and FAAZ-2. Both look copies of SD-10/PL-12. Went no where.

For all practical purposes, these are Choorans.

My technical 2 cents on Pakistani Fatah 3 (HD1A)

The limitation of most Solid Fuel Ramjet based supersonic cruise missiles is not peak velocity but terminal energy management.
✅ Restricted throttling authority,
✅ grain regression constraints and
✅ limited combustion modulation degrade sustained specific excess power during high-G terminal weaving.

⚠️ Against a maneuvering naval target this translates into lower endgame kinematic agility, reduced post-turn energy retention and comparatively poorer no-escape envelope expansion.

⚠️ Similarly because of these interception becomes easier.

A liquid-fuel ramjet powered system like BrahMos maintains superior throttle response, sustained dynamic pressure and better energy recovery during terminal sea-skimming maneuvers enabling sharper evasive profiles, higher terminal maneuver authority and better seeker stabilization under aggressive lateral loading.

Speed alone doesn’t define survivability. Endgame energy dominance does.
