Israel, US Strike Iran After Weeks Of Warning, Explosions Heard In Tehran

It's an irrelevant argument. A statement was made about decline, so modern inventions are relevant, whereas ancient ones are not. India invented decimal numbers not numbers themself, or maths. And current scientific domination is not evidence of decline either, it was exactly my point. And you'll also find 250 years haven't passed since 1800, oh great counting ones.

Thing is you dont get modern inventions without the ancient inventions which form the foundations.

I was being generous with 250 yrs. if you really wanna be that accurate, Industrial revolution began in 1760

A Franco-German rift is emerging over whether to try to involve the U.S. in tentative European plans to secure the Strait of Hormuz ahead of a leaders' summit in Paris on Friday.

French President Emmanuel Macron is hosting talks with leaders of "non-belligerent countries" to plan a "strictly defensive" mission to secure the crucial waterway once the fighting stops, according to a statement from the president's office. A French presidency official said the planning the French are leading "doesn’t include the U.S.”

But on Thursday, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz said while Germany is “fundamentally ready” to help secure shipping routes under strict conditions, he also wanted to "discuss the participation of U.S. Armed Forces" in the initiative, which was initially launched by France and the U.K.
"There are good arguments in favor of it," Merz said at a press conference in Berlin with regard to a joint European and U.S. effort.

This puts Merz on a potential collision course with Macron, who has been sharper in criticizing the U.S. and Israeli strikes on Iran. While France has said it would not partake in U.S. military operations, the country has deployed an aircraft carrier and other vessels to help defend regional allies in the Gulf.

In that case you don't get a new numbering system, without a numbering system, and neither is much use without maths.

This whole crap is a strawman though. It's about the current situation, and if we managed to use your numbers better than you, that is not evidence of Western decline.

But also, do you really expect homage for every invention, just for decimal numbers? People would have come up with that themselves in time anyway. I suppose if the US landed on Mars or working fusion reactors you'd still bring up numbers? FFS. You used them for counting bodies in the Ganges, we used them for science. No credit due more than 1 century after IMO.

Maybe it's yourself that's declined if you can't think of something newer.

There's a course correction happening. The world is reverting back to how it has always been.

Fancoise Voltaire's own words:
‘Everything has come down to us from the bank of Ganga’ , ‘The first Greeks traveled to India to instruct themselves’, ‘India, whom the whole Earth needs, who needs no one, must by that very fact be the most civilized land’.

Why don't you google the names of all the colonial era companies that handled trade and see how many times India is mentioned?

Still waiting for evidence of semiconductors and wireless tech being invented by Indians?

Google JC Bose.

Yep, a victory that can be sold to the American public.

Now let's combine that with a temporary cessation of enrichment, at least until Trump leaves office.

And you will have the great American victory over Iran. No regime change in Iran, JCPOA-- back in force for a short while, and expensive oil for everyone else. Israel back to square one with a more dangerous Iran to deal with.

Iranian Hormuz control will not remain. The war will not end whilst that remains, neither will the blockade.

Who's we Paddy ? You're the goddamned descendant of the last known Neanderthals in the world , that's who you are . Paddys have the higest gene flow of Neanderthals than any other known ethnicity in the world. These are facts. You're only part Homo Sapiens. That should explain a lot .

How many Paddys have won the Nobel Prize in the Sciences or even the Fields Medal in Mathematics - the ultimate Laurel in both those fields ? How many Paddys in MENSA ? How many Paddy GMs ( that's Grand Master fyi Paddy. Had to elaborate lest you think I was abusing you ) in Chess ?

Centuries from now when historians writing on the decline & fall of the Western world as opposed to civilization do their research they'd discover the years 1845-52 to be seminal years in this regard !

Why those years you ask ? Well those years are when The Great Potato Famine in Paddyland occurred & Paddys spread across the world sowing their oats around eventually reducing the IQ of the western world to their level.

We in the third world owe those Paddys a debt of gratitude. Tiocfaidh Ar La ! Truer words were never spoken .

In the meanwhile back in Paddyland protests have broken out on the high prices of everything from fuel to cost of living to accomodation.

Local Paddys there complain that all those tax breaks offered to tech cos across the world didn't improve their lot one bit instead worsening things for them.

They're insisting on more investment in agriculture , dairy , light engineering works etc precisely the kind of occupations you'd expect a Paddy to take up .

Now I don't wish to toot my horn but I pointed out these facts years ago. How many tech unicorns does Paddyland boast off started by local Paddys ? ZERO . That's how many.

These are intellectual endeavours Paddy not fit for menials like Paddys. Focus on agriculture like growing bigger potatoes , dairy & so on . Leave the heavy lifting to those more skilled & reputed in intellectual pursuits.

Laughably the rise in Eastern economies is primarily generated by Western economies off-loading labour.

Trump says naval blockade on Iran to remain until peace deal signed

The US president says the Strait of Hormuz is “completely open and ready for business” but US’s naval blockade of Iran will remain in place until a deal with Iran is reached.

“The naval blockade will remain in full force and effect as it pertains to Iran, only, until such time as our transaction with Iran is 100% complete,” Trump said, adding that this process “should go very quickly” as most points have been negotiated.

Iranian Hormuz control will not remain. The war will not end whilst that remains, neither will the blockade.

So basically after 20 years, this shit will happen again.

Iran has made the entire GCC rethink on having American bases. Saudi has already made a deal with Pakistan. Different GCC countries might start making plans with different countries for protection.

Seems like the IRGC and FM have fallen out on this issue. Eventually the wages of the IRGC won't be affordable if blockade remains in place anyway. FM is smart, IRGC is too dumb to realise that whilst Hormuz blockade is an inconvenienve for Europe, US blockade of Iran is terminal for Iran.

Has India still got that Iranian naval vessel in their port?

If I were you Paddy I'd be more worried about little britain . BTW - I never realised Lady Keir Starmer had such a refined sense of humour.
