Pakistan can still use this situation in its mutual advantage like training Saudi military + mutual indigenization of weapon systems but yes there is always a risk of picking up a fight with someone in middle east and then things can get ugly, really ugly for Pakistan.
US plan seems to disengage from middle east and focus on China and meanwhile Pick Pakistan from South Asia and engage it in ME so that India can go focus on China

The entire Middle east is a snakepit, but we depend on it to survive, so we have to jump from one high trapeze to another while being chased by herds of demented monkeys.. it is not a comfortable life, it is a never ending hamster wheel...
