Small Arms & Tactical Equipment

The 9x19mm suppressor seems to be on par with some of the best in this category worldwide in terms for sound reduction, size, weight etc.

Like say the "Banish 9" suppressor:

Israel, the OEM country of Negev is shifting to Sig saur LMG. Are we doing the right thing by inducting Negev?
Army wanted a 7.62x51mm LMG. The 2 best options in that caliber are FN Minimi Para & the IWI Nagev NG7. The Minimi Para is lighter than the NG7. But it is expensive & there is no way we will have domestic production of this gun. So, for the requirement we laid out NG7 is the best option for us.

Now the Israelis are going for a SIG's 0.338 LM chambered LMG. We aren't looking for anything in this category yet. Also, Vivek Krishnan said a few years back that they would also look to build a belt fed LMG chambered in 0.338LM. I will bet they will come up with a gun sooner than the Army figures out they may need something like this.

We have 2 separate production lines of 7.62mm belt fed LMGs in India, AWEIL & IWI-PLR. When the SSS Defence line opens, we will have 3 separate lines. Always a good thing to have multiple production line of small arms.

I really wish Adani wouldn't do tacky nonsense like giving these guns Indian names.

The only visible advantage Negave over sig sau is weight. It is no match for signs range. As an answer to the counter firing to pak along LOC, i think sig would have been a better choice due its range.

Here’s our sales pitch - Get ready for the smoothest ride in it’s class The SSS Defence T72 - India’s very own battle rifle chambered for the 7.62x51 NATO round and based on a short stroke piston system. This thing cycles cleaner, runs cooler, and hits harder with the lowest recoil in its caliber among “anything” available in India today. Now, that is a factual statement We went to the moon on a budget. Turns out we build rifles the same way - precise, efficient, and without unnecessary drama.
