Islamic Republic of Pakistan : News, Discussions & Updates

Imagine, a country of 260 mn people (growing at 2.6% pa) producing just 3.6 mn tonnes of steel, and all of it is scrap based electric arc/induction furnace output, claiming about having a GDP of $450 billion (equal to Malaysia).

This isn't limited to steel, same is the story with every major sector. This is the state of affairs after receiving $40+ bn in remittances, EU's GSP quota, aid and god knows how many IMF bailouts, and still the average pakee is extremely dirt poor while discussing how India is faking GDP and India is poorer than their watan-e-aziz while actually having a GDP of barely ~150-160 bn at best (30 times less than India) and I'm not exaggerating 🤣

"During the hearing, Power Division officials estimated that national electricity consumption in FY 2025-26 will, however, around 103 billion units, slightly lower than the 106 billion units projected for the current fiscal year."

^Again for a country that is going to touch 266 mn people this year...

Barely a quarter of India's per capita electricity consumption, yet they say India is faking GDP and is much more destitute despite being a largely energy-efficient service sector-centric economy 🥹

Don't believe me?
Gross premiums grew by 7 per cent year-on-year, reaching Rs677 billion compared to Rs631 billion in the preceding year.
Translates to $2.4 bn after artificially manipulating PKR at 280 for 3 years, ~12 times less per capita than poor Indians, in a country of again, 266 mn biomass that claims services is ~60% of their "GDP". This sector doesn't need much electricity, just like banking and financial services sector, which again I'll update later. Less said about tech and non-tech services, the better.

Matter of time before Operation Sindoor resumes. Last time the events in Pahalgam followed in the wake of the first attack on the Jaffar Express. Expect the same this time around following these high profile multi pronged attacks on Balochistan. @Jaymax

For all you know Modi's doing it to take the heat off the BJP & himself personally following the UGC guidelines fiasco . Kindly note maamu . You heard it here first.

Keep an eye out for distress sale of properties later this year once we strike which I'm confident will begin with decapitation strikes on murtad Shi'a Munira & the rest of the top brass of Fauji Foundation. Time to actively start collecting finances to aid those purchases . @safriz

Alhamdulillah !

Is this sarcasm pointed at safriz or you seriously think this is the reason? Or is this some kind of 9D theory going around in the unholy land's social media?

Ethnic Baloch separatists launched "coordinated" attacks across Pakistan's Balochistan province on Saturday, killing at least ten policemen, officials said, the latest violence in insurgency-hit southwest region. FRANCE 24's correspondent Shahzaib Wahlah reports that the situation in the provincial capital of Quetta remains tense.

Pakistan’s military held high-intensity exercises in Bahawalpur this week. Officially, the drills were about tech and modern warfare, but the location tells another story. Bahawalpur is home to Jaish-e-Mohammed’s HQ and lies close to the India-Pakistan border. Field Marshal Asim Munir’s visit is being seen as a strategic signal—especially after India’s Operation Sindoor in May last year. From cruise missiles to air superiority, the fallout still echoes. So, was this exercise just training—or something more?

Still a few months needed. Follow the yellow trail in Bombay and Nagpur.

The cousin chasers will no doubt respond but given the present circumstances doesn’t look like India will go hammer and tongs soon.

Unless Munir does something big but then his masters will be most displeased. What started as a chess board has turned into the dance floor of a rave at 3 AM. no one knows who is groping / grabbing where and everyone claims they are having a good time.

Out intelligence agencies will be under more pressure after the latest large-scale BLA attack in Balochistan. Bangladesh and Pak want to paint India as unsafe for cricket. If, post the BLA attack, Pak tries something in India, then any quick retaliation by us will lead to them justifying the call for boycott. That is why it is essential that ICC must tell Pak that boycotting cricket matches will be very harmful for them.

There were figures being circulated earlier in the media about the Baloch side. Folks already found out where the figures came from.

It is really an amusing phenomenon though. A Pakistani journalist in western media usually writes in favour of Pakistan, helping spread propaganda in favour of Pakistan. OTOH, an Indian journalist in western media usually writes against India, maligning us and spreading propaganda in favour of Pakistan. God knows why we are filled with so many traitors.

It has become blatant of late. There existed a certain amount of subtlety before.
