Indian Unmanned Aerial Vehicles Developments

They probably have a foriegn design partner/consultant. Otherwise, this is a
remarkable effort for a first-timer.

No, it's Thier own design,
Well they are kinda experienced as Thier co founders & most of Thier engineers were previously worked for global eVOTL companies,
So they form a new company to start Thier own eVOTL company in India,

Having said that, these guys will need backing from bigger players like L&T, Tata to survive in the defence market.

Well again it's boils down to the govt, without order's nobody can sustain, if they ever venture in defence they should try to export it as Hard as they can,

They have signed MoU with Andhra govt for 500-acre factory,
And with govt of goa for coastal service,

Their primary goal is something like Uber for tier 1 & 2 cities, an eVOTL taxi and Cargo delivery,

Well again it's boils down to the govt, without order's nobody can sustain, if they ever venture in defence they should try to export it as Hard as they can,
There is scope for it in India. The IA is reportedly considering the Pravaig electric all terrain vehicle for spl forces roles. Considering the IA has dozens of Polaris ATVs, this would certainly be a breakthrough for ev in military applications.

This eVTOL bird could similarly serve as an alternative to microlight/paraglider for SOF insertion/extraction.

But they will need to play the long game. That requires funds and industry contacts. These guys should try for an iDEX grant, I'd say.

Some nice in-house development shown by the army.
Kharga Chakra drone is the highlight. Should be given to each brigade for surveillance. Range : 200KM (One way) Endurance : 5-6 hrs

Any idea what happened to the RQ-170 lookalike drone called Vajra? Iirc it was displayed at an airshow around 3 years ago.

The mfgr was supposedly collaborating directly with LM. Their website doesn't even list the project anymore.
